## An Indian restaurant you can walk to after a stroll on Gwangan Beach

A while back, I wanted to take my kid out for something special and different, so we went to 'Bollywood,' an Indian restaurant near Gwangan Beach. It's really close to the sandy shore of Gwangan Beach, so it's a great spot to walk to hand-in-hand with your kid after strolling along the beach and looking at the ocean, once you start getting hungry!

### What's the vibe like inside?

Inside, the space is filled with distinctive, colorful Indian decor and Indian music playing, so it feels like you've traveled far abroad.

My kid also seemed fascinated by the exotic atmosphere, eyes sparkling as she looked around the place~ Thanks to that, we really had a proper Gwangan curry date with the kid.

I looked at the menu thinking about ordering a set, but figured tandoori chicken would be too spicy for a first-grader, so we skipped it. Instead we ordered sweet chicken makhani that's easy for the kid to eat, spicy karahi lamb curry that adults would enjoy, and two honey naans — an essential combo you can't skip with curry.

The naan seemed to come fresh from the tandoor oven right when we ordered — steam rose the moment I tore it with my hands, crispy outside and chewy inside.

Honestly, I thought two curries and two naans would be just about right, but the naan was huge and the curry bowls were packed with ingredients, so the portions turned out more generous than expected.

Thanks to the big, mild naan and the rich, generously portioned curry, I'd recommend this as one of the best curry spots near Gwangan Beach for a meal with kids~!

## A hit with the kid! Sweet, smooth chicken makhani

The chicken makhani curry I ordered for the kid had a rich, smooth creamy flavor with a touch of sweetness added, making it truly perfect for a kid's palate.

Since it had absolutely no strong or spicy flavor, it was really easy for young kids to mix into rice or naan and scoop up without any worries.

In particular, the sauce was loaded with big pieces of mildly seasoned, savory grilled tandoori chicken, so it doubled as a good protein boost while also giving great texture and flavor.

When I tore off a big piece of the chewy naan and topped it with the sweet, smooth curry and tender chicken, my kid said it was so delicious that she started tearing off naan herself and dipping it into the curry — eating so eagerly that I felt really proud as a mom ^^ If you're visiting Gwangan Beach with your kid, this is a curry spot you can enjoy happily together.

## Addictively spicy: karahi lamb curry

The dish that instantly won over the adults' palates was, without a doubt, the karahi lamb curry with its standout spicy seasoning.

The distinctive Indian spice aroma combined with a pleasantly spicy seasoning completely masked any gaminess from the lamb, resulting in a truly addictive flavor that kept drawing us back for more.

It was also loaded with fresh, crunchy vegetables, and most of all, plenty of tender lamb without holding back. Tearing off a big piece of the freshly baked, chewy, savory naan and wrapping it around the spicy lamb and vegetables for a full bite — the combination of spicy curry and sweet honey naan was simply fantastic. I think this is a dish where you can really experience a rich, distinctive flavor where spiciness and savoriness come together.
