## In short

Yeongdong Milmyeon & Dwaeji Gukbap Busan Station Branch is a dwaeji gukbap (pork rice soup) and milmyeon (cold wheat noodle) restaurant on the 2nd floor of Asti Hotel, right beside Busan Station in Dong-gu, Busan. A lunchtime visit meant a table with no wait, and an order of suyuk baekban (boiled pork set meal) for 13,000 won and dumplings for 7,000 won brought tender pork with no gamey smell and a clean, lightly seasoned broth. With room for suitcases and seats for solo diners, Yeongdong is an easy stop for a quick meal before or after a train.

## Where is Yeongdong Milmyeon & Dwaeji Gukbap? 2nd floor of Asti Hotel by Busan Station

I was looking for somewhere to eat quickly near Busan Station and ended up at Yeongdong Milmyeon & Dwaeji Gukbap Busan Station Branch. I believe the original location is in an alley across from the Busan Station plaza, but the place I visited was this second branch on the 2nd floor of Asti Hotel. It's close to Busan Station, so it's a great spot to stop by right before catching a train or right after arriving.

A lot of restaurants near Busan Station either have a wait depending on the time of day or aren't great for dragging a suitcase around, but since this place is inside a hotel building, it felt much more convenient. If you're looking for a pork soup place near Busan Station, this one is pretty well located too. 👍

## Is there a lunch wait at Yeongdong, and what is the dining room like?

![Entrance with no wait during lunchtime](https://img.superchart.com/images/busan-station-asti-hotel-suyuk-baekban/busan-station-asti-hotel-suyuk-baekban-04-15myx-900.webp)

Even though I visited during lunchtime, I was able to get seated with no wait. I'd been a little worried it would be crowded so close to Busan Station, but seating was faster than expected, which was great.

![Clean interior with seating for solo diners](https://img.superchart.com/images/busan-station-asti-hotel-suyuk-baekban/busan-station-asti-hotel-suyuk-baekban-05-1gz1j-900.webp)

The interior was pretty clean, and there were seats for eating alone, so it didn't feel awkward to dine solo. Overall it was quiet with a clean interior — completely. satisfied. 💛

Inside, there's a lot of space to leave a suitcase. It was nice being able to eat comfortably without worrying about being in anyone's way.

## Ordering suyuk baekban for 13,000 won and dumplings for 7,000 won

![Menu board showing prices for suyuk baekban and dumplings](https://img.superchart.com/images/busan-station-asti-hotel-suyuk-baekban/busan-station-asti-hotel-suyuk-baekban-07-138jl-900.webp)

What I ordered that day was suyuk baekban (boiled pork set meal) and dumplings. Suyuk baekban was ₩13,000 and the dumplings were ₩7,000. Pork soup is great since I'm in Busan, but I wanted to eat suyuk (boiled pork) too, so I went with the suyuk baekban.

![Side dishes of napa cabbage kimchi, radish kimchi, dried radish, and wrap vegetables](https://img.superchart.com/images/busan-station-asti-hotel-suyuk-baekban/busan-station-asti-hotel-suyuk-baekban-08-1p88h-900.webp)

The side dishes came out pretty quickly after ordering. There was quite a variety — napa cabbage kimchi, cubed radish kimchi, dried radish strips. Since I ordered the baekban with suyuk, they also gave me lettuce leaves for wrapping. The side dishes came out looking clean overall, so the first impression was already good.

## Suyuk baekban review: tender pork with no gamey smell, clean broth

![Dadegi seasoning container set on the table](https://img.superchart.com/images/busan-station-asti-hotel-suyuk-baekban/busan-station-asti-hotel-suyuk-baekban-10-1riu6-900.webp)

There's also a dadegi (spicy seasoning) container set on the table.

The suyuk baekban came with the boiled pork, broth, and a dipping sauce for the pork.

In particular, the pork didn't have a strong gamey smell, so I could eat it without any hesitation. I thought to myself, glad I ordered the suyuk baekban! 💭 If you feel like it'd be a shame to only have pork soup near Busan Station, ordering suyuk baekban seems like a good idea too.

![Bowl of mildly seasoned, clean pork broth](https://img.superchart.com/images/busan-station-asti-hotel-suyuk-baekban/busan-station-asti-hotel-suyuk-baekban-13-1t09e-900.webp)

The broth wasn't seasoned strongly on its own — it had a clean style. I usually prefer lightly seasoned food, so this mild broth suited my taste better.

I like adding my own salted shrimp or seasoning to taste rather than getting a soup that's already heavily seasoned from the start, and this place was exactly that kind of experience.

![Tender piece of boiled pork dipped in sauce](https://img.superchart.com/images/busan-station-asti-hotel-suyuk-baekban/busan-station-asti-hotel-suyuk-baekban-14-1gcrd-900.webp)

![Tender boiled pork with tangy sauce](https://img.superchart.com/images/busan-station-asti-hotel-suyuk-baekban/busan-station-asti-hotel-suyuk-baekban-15-s8diw-900.webp)

The pork was much more tender than I expected. The meat wasn't dry at all, so dipping it lightly in the sauce was just right.

The sauce was tangy and did a good job cutting through the richness of the pork. 🫢

![Boiled pork wrapped in lettuce leaf](https://img.superchart.com/images/busan-station-asti-hotel-suyuk-baekban/busan-station-asti-hotel-suyuk-baekban-16-1n1ji-900.webp)

It's also delicious wrapped in lettuce. If you feel like it'd be a shame to only have pork soup near Busan Station, ordering suyuk baekban seems like a good idea too.

## Yeongdong's dumplings: about 10 pieces, enough for two to share

![Plate of about 10 dumplings](https://img.superchart.com/images/busan-station-asti-hotel-suyuk-baekban/busan-station-asti-hotel-suyuk-baekban-17-18t70-900.webp)

The dumpling portion was more generous than I expected. There were about 10 of them, which was plenty for two people to share.

![Inside view of the basic dumpling filling ordered as a side](https://img.superchart.com/images/busan-station-asti-hotel-suyuk-baekban/busan-station-asti-hotel-suyuk-baekban-18-16agv-900.webp)

It's a good side dish to order when just the gukbap or suyuk baekban feels a bit lacking. The dumplings themselves were also easy to eat without being too heavy. Not especially fancy, but the kind of basic dumpling that's nice to pick up one at a time while it's still warm.

## Why Yeongdong works for a quick meal near Busan Station

The pork was tender, the broth was clean, and the side dishes were well put together, making for a satisfying meal overall. Yeongdong Milmyeon & Dwaeji Gukbap Busan Station Branch is a good place to stop by when you want to eat quickly at Busan Station. If you're looking to have clean-tasting pork soup or suyuk baekban near Busan Station, it's worth a visit.
