You pay when you leave; they only take the order by QR code. I had heard Mayway had stone-plate jjajang, so I ordered stone jjajang, half tangsuyuk (sweet-and-sour fried pork), and Zero Coke. When I eat tangsuyuk, I absolutely have to sprinkle chili powder into soy sauce and alternate it with the standard tangsuyuk sauce for that sweet-salty balance. A note on the wall said they handle everything in-house, from kneading and aging the flour dough to making the sauce and base, to maintain a rich flavor. Such careful attention so we could eat it nice and hot. A big pour of jjajang onto the stone plate. It even came topped with a fried egg, and there were plenty of ingredients including shrimp, squid, and onion. There were big pieces of squid in it, too. You know you need to give stone-plate jjajang a good stir now and then before it sticks to the bottom, right!!! But Mayway's was nicely balanced and not salty, which I loved. As someone with a separate dessert stomach, this service made me so happy 🫶🏻 It was such a delicious meal. ## Stone-plate jjajang and tangsuyuk: final thoughts Because it was stone-plate jjajang, it felt different from regular jajangmyeon (black bean noodles), which I liked, and it was not salty, so it was easy to enjoy without feeling weighed down. The tangsuyuk was juicy and delicious, too!
