## In short

Suwolgyeonghwa is a tea café overlooking Songjeong Beach in Haeundae, Busan. Its Melon Mans oolong tea and varied Dalbodeure box of Korean desserts stood out, although Hyeonwol Hojicha was a little sweet for the writer. Verdict: a lovely stop for a quieter seaside tea break in Busan.

While looking for a café in Songjeong, Busan, I visited Suwolgyeonghwa (수월경화), where you can enjoy ocean views alongside tea and Korean desserts. I used to live near Gwangalli, so I usually love spending time there whenever I visit Busan, but sometimes I want to see a quieter view that feels more like the real sea.

So on this Busan trip, I headed to Suwolgyeonghwa near Songjeong Beach.

## Suwolgyeonghwa location and parking

Suwolgyeonghwa is on the fourth floor at 188 Songjeongjungang-ro 6beon-gil, Haeundae-gu, Busan. It is about a one-minute walk from Songjeong Beach, making it a great place to stop after seeing the sea or to rest at the café before taking a beach walk.

If you are driving, you can use the building's first-floor pilotis parking lot for free. Do note that if the spaces are full, you will need to use nearby paid parking.

For public transit, it is about a one-minute walk from the KT Songjeong Tower stop, so access is quite convenient too.

## Ocean views over Songjeong Beach

The sea was what I was most looking forward to while searching for a café in Songjeong, Busan. At Suwolgyeonghwa, Songjeong Beach spreads out refreshingly below you, and simply sitting there felt wonderful.

In particular, the beach train passes by outside the window from time to time, and it really sets the mood. You can see people surfing in the sea, too, and the laid-back scenery unique to Songjeong comes into view all at once. It was a lovely place to take a short break during a Busan trip.

The café itself has a calm atmosphere inspired by hanok (traditional Korean houses), which suited the ocean view beautifully.

## Suwolgyeonghwa's tea menu and our order

Unlike a typical coffee-focused café, Suwolgyeonghwa specializes in tea. There is a range of teas made with house-blended and quality tea leaves, as well as Korean desserts and traditional drinks that pair well with them.

We ordered the Dalbodeure Box, their signature Korean dessert, along with Melon Mans and Hyeonwol Hojicha. Melon Mans was especially impressive.

![Ordered Melon Mans oolong tea](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-tea-ocean-view-cafe/songjeong-tea-ocean-view-cafe-14-1bsyu-900.webp)

The tea had the sweet, cool character of muskmelon, and it was so distinctive that I thought, “This is oolong tea?” It was a fresh tea that is perfect for summer, and I liked it a lot.

![Hyeonwol Hojicha and Melon Mans teas](https://img.superchart.com/images/songjeong-tea-ocean-view-cafe/songjeong-tea-ocean-view-cafe-16-1ocbp-900.webp)

I ordered Hyeonwol Hojicha because I was curious about hojicha (roasted green tea). It combines hojicha's nutty flavor with the rich sweetness of brown sugar, so it was a little sweet for me since I do not usually like sweet drinks haha. In the end, my husband drank it.

## The Dalbodeure Box of Korean desserts

The Dalbodeure Box is Suwolgyeonghwa's signature Korean dessert box. Since you can sample several desserts at once, it is great to order with tea.

The injeolmi (chewy rice cake coated in soybean powder) was cute even in appearance, and I loved its chewy texture. The ganache monaka, a crisp wafer filled with ganache, was pretty and delicious, so it stayed with me. The gamtae myeongran financier brought together a subtle sea aroma with sweet and savory flavors, and that sweet-salty combination was appealing. The red bean butter monaka and black-rice sulppang (rice wine bread) each had their own charm, so it was fun tasting them one by one. I also liked that they were not merely pretty desserts; they paired beautifully with the tea.

## A tea café listed in the Blue Ribbon Survey

I later learned that this place was listed in the Blue Ribbon Survey for two consecutive years, 2025 and 2026. Having visited myself, I liked how the tea, desserts, and space all came together in one cohesive mood.

There are many teas to choose from according to your taste, and I think even people unfamiliar with tea could have fun picking one. For me, trying a tea like Melon Mans, which I had not encountered elsewhere, was especially memorable.

## Who I recommend it for

I would recommend it to anyone looking for a café in Songjeong, Busan, where they can enjoy ocean views, tea, and Korean desserts together. It would suit you even better if you want something a little different from the usual café with coffee and cake.

I love Gwangalli too, but when I come to Songjeong, I enjoy finding a quieter, more relaxed side of Busan's sea. I truly loved the time spent watching the beach train pass by, sipping tea, and enjoying delicious desserts. It is somewhere I would like to visit again on another Busan trip. If you are looking for a café where you can relax while looking out at the Songjeong sea, do visit Suwolgyeonghwa.
