I went to Yukganmyeongga in Hadan! I heard they had a lotus-leaf rice set and got curious, so I checked it out. Their wood-fired grilled meat and lotus-leaf rice are apparently famous haha

Parking is available inside the building! There's also space beside the building, so there are quite a lot of spots. You can visit without worrying about parking!

## A spacious 2nd-floor space with a private room

Yukganmyeongga is on the 2nd floor! The interior is pretty spacious and clean. True to a Korean set-meal restaurant, each table is sectioned off and spaced well apart, so you can eat comfortably without worrying about the next table haha

And there's a separate private room too! It seemed great for a private meal or gathering. When I visited, I actually saw quite a few people there for what looked like a meeting-the-in-laws lunch! Seems like it's popular for family gatherings and important occasions too haha

## Menu and order — bori-gulbi set for ₩27,000

Here's the menu! From Korean set meals to wood-fired lotus-leaf rice sets, beef and pork — there were more options than I expected. It seemed like the set meals and lotus-leaf rice sets were the most popular orders. I went with the bori-gulbi (dried yellow corvina) set for ₩27,000!

![A cup of warm tea served before the meal](https://img.superchart.com/images/yukgan-myeongga-hadan-boligulbi-hansang/yukgan-myeongga-hadan-boligulbi-hansang-05-891ve-966.webp)

After ordering, warm tea came out. Having a warm cup of tea before the meal was nice and settling for the stomach.

## A full spread of side dishes alone

True to a Korean set meal, the side dishes came out in a really wide variety! Even just the side dishes fill up the whole table!

![A neatly plated dish of seasoned vegetable side dishes](https://img.superchart.com/images/yukgan-myeongga-hadan-boligulbi-hansang/yukgan-myeongga-hadan-boligulbi-hansang-07-zslsr-966.webp)

![Table setting with kimchi and other side dishes](https://img.superchart.com/images/yukgan-myeongga-hadan-boligulbi-hansang/yukgan-myeongga-hadan-boligulbi-hansang-08-194d9-966.webp)

![A side dish plate of japchae](https://img.superchart.com/images/yukgan-myeongga-hadan-boligulbi-hansang/yukgan-myeongga-hadan-boligulbi-hansang-09-gmwig-966.webp)

![Yukganmyeongga's side dishes including salad](https://img.superchart.com/images/yukgan-myeongga-hadan-boligulbi-hansang/yukgan-myeongga-hadan-boligulbi-hansang-10-13ch0-966.webp)

From salad to kimchi, various namul (seasoned vegetable) side dishes, and japchae (stir-fried glass noodles) — each one plated neatly and generously haha

![Warm lotus-leaf rice served at the table](https://img.superchart.com/images/yukgan-myeongga-hadan-boligulbi-hansang/yukgan-myeongga-hadan-boligulbi-hansang-11-yfqe0-966.webp)

## Warm lotus-leaf rice

The lotus-leaf rice came out too! It was a big portion and piping hot haha When I opened up the lotus leaf, it was topped generously with healthy ingredients like nuts, sweet pumpkin, and lotus root! It was chewy with a nice lotus-leaf aroma and really delicious haha

![Green tea water served alongside the bori-gulbi](https://img.superchart.com/images/yukgan-myeongga-hadan-boligulbi-hansang/yukgan-myeongga-hadan-boligulbi-hansang-13-pgcba-966.webp)

## Wood-fired bori-gulbi, deboned for you at the table

Since I ordered the bori-gulbi, they also gave me green tea water along with it! And a nice touch — plastic gloves too!

As soon as the bori-gulbi came out, a staff member handled it for me right away! They separated the flesh into easy-to-eat pieces and even squeezed lemon over it neatly, so I could eat it with no hassle!

![Full table spread of the bori-gulbi set](https://img.superchart.com/images/yukgan-myeongga-hadan-boligulbi-hansang/yukgan-myeongga-hadan-boligulbi-hansang-14-jaxvb-1200.webp)

With the bori-gulbi added, the table was completely full! You can tell why this place is known as a great Korean set-meal restaurant, right...*

![Thick bori-gulbi deboned and plated](https://img.superchart.com/images/yukgan-myeongga-hadan-boligulbi-hansang/yukgan-myeongga-hadan-boligulbi-hansang-15-4p5k9-966.webp)

![Plate of bori-gulbi drizzled with lemon](https://img.superchart.com/images/yukgan-myeongga-hadan-boligulbi-hansang/yukgan-myeongga-hadan-boligulbi-hansang-16-a5zr1-966.webp)

The bori-gulbi was especially big, with thick flesh haha I thought it'd be a small size, but it was much bigger — and above all, since it's grilled once in the wood-fired oven, it was crispy!

![Wood-fired bori-gulbi with a crispy exterior](https://img.superchart.com/images/yukgan-myeongga-hadan-boligulbi-hansang/yukgan-myeongga-hadan-boligulbi-hansang-17-1vn9o-966.webp)

The crispy outside and the chewy flesh were so good! There was plenty of flesh and the seasoning on the bori-gulbi was well done, so it was nicely salty and delicious!

![Bori-gulbi with the flesh separated from the bone](https://img.superchart.com/images/yukgan-myeongga-hadan-boligulbi-hansang/yukgan-myeongga-hadan-boligulbi-hansang-18-1oeas-m-966.webp)

![Bori-gulbi eaten together with lotus-leaf rice](https://img.superchart.com/images/yukgan-myeongga-hadan-boligulbi-hansang/yukgan-myeongga-hadan-boligulbi-hansang-19-1d59b-966.webp)

It's delicious just on its own, and even better eaten together with the lotus-leaf rice! The flesh was chewy and tasty, and since it's gulbi, separating the bones from the flesh was easy too!!

![A bowl of rice soaked in green tea water](https://img.superchart.com/images/yukgan-myeongga-hadan-boligulbi-hansang/yukgan-myeongga-hadan-boligulbi-hansang-20-1fm14-966.webp)

![A piece of bori-gulbi placed over green tea rice](https://img.superchart.com/images/yukgan-myeongga-hadan-boligulbi-hansang/yukgan-myeongga-hadan-boligulbi-hansang-21-1j0pa-966.webp)

### The best combo: rice soaked in green tea water

And the best combination was mixing rice into the green tea water, eating it with the bori-gulbi, and topping it with side dishes — it was seriously delicious! Eating it soaked in cool green tea water was heavenly...! I get why people eat this when they have no appetite haha

![Dessert corner with ice cream and coffee after the meal](https://img.superchart.com/images/yukgan-myeongga-hadan-boligulbi-hansang/yukgan-myeongga-hadan-boligulbi-hansang-22-c4qvk-966.webp)

## Dessert: ice cream and coffee

After the meal, there's ice cream and coffee ready too! I wanted to try the affogato, but they were out of coffee beans that day, unfortunately, so I couldn't have the coffee — but the ice cream itself was smooth and delicious haha

![Dessert ice cream served in a cup](https://img.superchart.com/images/yukgan-myeongga-hadan-boligulbi-hansang/yukgan-myeongga-hadan-boligulbi-hansang-23-1jw5f-966.webp)

![Dessert ice cream enjoyed in a cone](https://img.superchart.com/images/yukgan-myeongga-hadan-boligulbi-hansang/yukgan-myeongga-hadan-boligulbi-hansang-24-f7yac-966.webp)

It was nice to finish with a sweet dessert! There's also an ice cream cone option, so you can have it in a cup or a cone!

## Wrap-up

⭐ Parking is convenient and the table comes out full and neatly arranged! Great for family meals, of course, but also good for a work dinner or meeting-the-in-laws occasion in Hadan! If you're looking for a hearty, well-put-together Korean set-meal restaurant in Hadan, I'd recommend Yukganmyeongga.
