## In short

Dami Sik is a Chinese restaurant on Sumogwon-ro 49beon-gil in Osan, Gyeonggi, known for its stone jjajang (black bean noodles served on a hot stone plate). A family of four came for dinner and ordered stone jjajang, mandu (dumplings) and yuringi (crispy chicken with a tangy sauce), finishing by mixing the bowl of rice that comes with the stone jjajang into the leftover sauce. Because kids and adults can share one main dish, Dami Sik made for a satisfying family dinner out.

Some days you just crave stone jjajang, and that day hit me hard, so my family and I went out for dinner at Dami Sik, a well-known spot in Osan.

I wasn't in the mood for regular jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles) — I wanted the version that sizzles on a hot stone plate. After some searching, I took the family to Dami Sik, which is famous for exactly that.

Since we're a family of four, we ordered stone jjajang along with mandu (dumplings) and yuringi. The portions were just right, and the kids ate way better than I expected — a satisfying family dinner overall.

This was our second visit. I keep telling myself I'll try the pollack hot pot next time, but somehow I always end up ordering stone jjajang again at Dami Sik.

## Dami Sik in Osan: a family dinner for four

Dami Sik is widely known in Osan for its stone jjajang, so it's a great place to head to whenever that craving hits, like it did for me.

Choosing a menu at a Chinese restaurant with kids can be surprisingly tricky, but at Dami Sik, building the meal around one stone jjajang with mandu or other side dishes worked well for both adults and kids.

The four of us ordered stone jjajang, mandu and yuringi. As the dishes came out one by one, the table filled up quickly.

## What makes the sizzling stone jjajang special

The dish I was most looking forward to at Dami Sik was, of course, the stone jjajang.

It comes out on a hot stone plate, sizzling loudly from the moment it's served — it's fun just to watch.

![Close-up of sizzling jjajang on the stone plate](https://img.superchart.com/images/osan-damisik-family-dinner-stone-jjajang/osan-damisik-family-dinner-stone-jjajang-05-kwgs1-966.webp)

![Dami Sik's stone jjajang with noodles and ingredients mixed in](https://img.superchart.com/images/osan-damisik-family-dinner-stone-jjajang/osan-damisik-family-dinner-stone-jjajang-06-sk9g6-966.webp)

Unlike regular jjajangmyeon, the heat from the stone plate keeps the dish warm throughout the meal, which I really liked.

The noodles come mixed with various ingredients right in the sauce, so every bite had something to chew on, and the sauce was rich enough to pair well with the noodles.

Best of all, it's a dish kids can eat without hesitation, which made it a solid choice for a family dinner.

## Mixing rice into the leftover stone jjajang sauce

Another kid-friendly touch at Dami Sik is that a bowl of rice comes included. Once you've eaten most of the jjajangmyeon, sauce is left on the stone plate — so I tossed the rice in and mixed it around.

Thanks to the heat still radiating from the stone plate, mixing the rice in gave it a completely different feel from regular jjajang-bap (jjajang rice).

It finished with a rich, savory flavor similar to fried jjajang rice, making the meal feel more filling than just eating the noodles alone.

With plenty of vegetables and meat mixed in, it also meant the kids got more nutrition than if they'd just eaten noodles. If you're a family of four, ordering one stone jjajang and pairing it with other dishes seems like a good way to go.

## Adding mandu and yuringi to the table

Stone jjajang alone felt like it might not be quite enough, so we also ordered mandu and yuringi.

![A plate of Dami Sik's mandu](https://img.superchart.com/images/osan-damisik-family-dinner-stone-jjajang/osan-damisik-family-dinner-stone-jjajang-09-f3kr0-966.webp)

The kids especially loved the mandu, and it paired nicely with the stone jjajang.

![Dami Sik's yuringi with tangy sauce](https://img.superchart.com/images/osan-damisik-family-dinner-stone-jjajang/osan-damisik-family-dinner-stone-jjajang-10-z9s71-966.webp)

Yuringi has a tangy flavor quite different from jjajang, so having it alongside made for a nice combination.

When you're eating something as rich and heavy as jjajang, you sometimes need a different flavor to break it up, and yuringi did exactly that.

With four of us sharing the stone jjajang, mandu and yuringi, the portions were just right — nothing left wanting.

## Why Dami Sik works as an Osan Chinese restaurant with kids

When eating out with kids, taste matters, but so does whether everyone can eat the same dish together — and Dami Sik, this Osan Chinese restaurant, made that easy with its kid-friendly menu.

The adults had stone jjajang with yuringi on the side, while the kids ate jjajangmyeon and mandu, so we didn't need to order a bunch of separate dishes.

The sizzling stone plate seemed to feel especially novel to the kids — they were curious about it the moment it hit the table.

When family members have different tastes, having a menu that still lets everyone eat together is a real plus.

## Looking for a good restaurant in Osan? Dami Sik

That day I had a sudden, intense craving for stone jjajang, and in the end we all enjoyed the meal with the kids — very satisfying.

Stone jjajang → mandu → yuringi → finishing with rice mixed into the sauce. Eating in that order made for a great meal for a family of four.

The stone jjajang in particular stays warm until the very end thanks to the hot stone plate, and mixing rice into the leftover sauce is its own kind of fun — a different experience from regular jjajangmyeon.

If you're looking for a family restaurant or Chinese restaurant to visit with kids in Osan, Dami Sik is worth a stop the next time you're craving stone jjajang.
