## In short

Hope So is a craft pizza and beer restaurant in the Bangi-dong restaurant alley in Songpa, Seoul. A family dinner there after the playground brought a thin-crust margherita pizza, boneless fried chicken with fries, and peach iced tea, with the pizza's clean tomato-sauce acidity working well even for kids' palates. At ₩20,000–30,000 per person, it's an easy pick for both family dinners and work get-togethers.

Today's spot

Hope So is a craft pizza and craft beer restaurant located in the Bangi-dong restaurant alley, an area packed with academies and eateries. If you've searched for pizza restaurants in Bangi-dong, you may have already heard the name. I remembered enjoying it before, so I decided to go back after a while.

That day, our kids staged a protest against eating dinner at home and demanded we go to the playground instead, so I rushed home from work, took them to the playground, and decided we'd eat out for dinner. Walking through the Bangi-dong restaurant alley, my feet naturally carried me back to Hope So thanks to that old memory. Hope So works well both as a spot for a work dinner and as a family outing with kids.

## Where is Hope So, and how far from Bangi Station?

Hope So's exact address is 21 Wiryeseongdae-ro 18-gil, Songpa-gu, Seoul, and it sits inside the Bangi-dong restaurant alley. It's about a 10-minute walk from Bangi Station, making it a fairly accessible option for a dinner date near Olympic Park too.

We drove there, leaving around 7pm and arriving in about 20 minutes without much traffic. If you're taking public transit, I'd recommend walking from Bangi Station. Whether you're planning an Olympic Park dinner date or a visit to the Bangi-dong restaurant alley, Hope So's location is easily reachable on foot, which is a real plus.

## Hours and closed days — closed on Sundays

Hope So is open Tuesday through Saturday from 4pm to 1am the next day, with last order at midnight. Monday follows the same hours, 4pm to 1am. The regular closed day is every Sunday.

I actually showed up once on a Sunday craving pizza and got turned away, so worth keeping in mind. If you're planning a dinner visit, just make sure to time it after the 4pm opening. I'd also recommend checking the exact phone number on Naver Place or the store info before you go.

Since it stays open late every day except Sunday, it's also a solid choice for a work dinner in Bangi-dong without worrying about time constraints.

## Parking: about 2 spots out front

Hope So has a small parking area along the street out front, fitting about 2 cars. There's no dedicated lot, so if it's full, it's best to use the nearby paid public parking in the Bangi-dong restaurant alley. Since the place mainly serves alcohol, parking space isn't very generous.

We came by car since we weren't planning to drink with the kids along, and luckily we managed to grab a spot right out front.

## Inside the restaurant — a duplex layout with terrace-feel window seats

Hope So is built on two floors in a duplex layout, with an open, airy interior. The window seats on the first floor have a terrace feel, which made for an especially nice spot to enjoy the cool autumn weather. The duplex layout, letting you look all the way up to the second floor, seemed great for group seating too, and the kids had fun looking around every corner of the place.

True to a craft beer specialty restaurant, the interior struck a stylish yet casual balance. Thanks to the open duplex layout and terrace seating, it's a space that works equally well for a Bangi-dong work dinner or a family meal.

## Hope So menu and prices

Hope So's signature menu is pizza. The lineup includes Margherita, Gorgonzola, and Diavola, each priced at ₩22,000. The Rucola pizza runs a bit higher at ₩25,000.

The buffalo sticks and fries set goes for ₩24,000. There's also a fried chicken gizzard and fries set at ₩20,000, and a boneless chicken and fries set at ₩24,000 — all reasonably priced with quite generous portions.

Beer is the main drink here, but that day we ordered peach iced tea for ₩4,000. With pizza, fried sides, and drinks all balanced on the menu, it's an easy lineup to order from no matter the group size. Between the craft pizzas and the side dishes, the menu satisfies both pizza-seekers in Bangi-dong and anyone looking for a drinking spot.

## What we ordered — margherita pizza, boneless chicken & fries

That day we ordered the margherita pizza, boneless chicken & fries, and peach iced tea.

I originally wanted the gorgonzola pizza, but the kids picked margherita themselves on the tablet, and it turned out great — the crust was thin and the tomato sauce's acidity was clean, so it worked well even for the kids' palates.

The fries came with Cajun seasoning, and the boneless chicken had that crispy-outside, juicy-inside texture that really stood out.

I held off on beer since we drove, but just seeing the kids enjoy their meal in the cool breeze with bright smiles made the evening plenty satisfying.

Our youngest kept asking for the heart-shaped 'pretzel' cookie he remembered from our last visit, and our oldest still remembers the vibe and the pizza taste vividly — it left that much of an impression.

## Final thoughts

If you're looking for pizza in Bangi-dong, Hope So is the first place I'd recommend — it was that satisfying. At roughly ₩20,000–30,000 per person, it's an easy price point for pizza plus one or two side dishes.

Even as a long-running restaurant, it's kept its clean interior and consistent taste, which is its biggest strength. Whether it's a dinner date near Olympic Park or a work dinner in Bangi-dong, Hope So is a choice that won't let you down.
