Besides songpyeon, they make all kinds of rice cakes — baekseolgi (steamed white rice cake), thank-you rice cakes, rice cake cakes, and more. This time I ordered the colorful songpyeon. Songpyeon has a strong image as a holiday food, but I actually like it enough to crave it any time. Taking a bite, the chewy skin and nutty filling went well together, and the sweetness wasn't overdone, so it was easy to keep eating without feeling weighed down.
