The first thing I noticed walking in was how clean and comfortable the atmosphere was, much more than I expected. When you think 'haejangguk restaurant,' you might picture somewhere a bit rough and cluttered, but this place was easy to relax and eat in. It had plenty of collagen, chewy yet tender, and easy to pick up piece by piece, so alternating it with the haejangguk was delicious. Hot soup, a piece of pork, and rice together made for a really filling, satisfying meal. ### Spicy seasoned crab And then the spicy seasoned crab I'd been waiting for! Seeing it served piping hot in a stone bowl, I thought — this is exactly the kind of dish soup food is meant to be. Taking a careful first spoonful, the clean, hearty flavor was really nice. Eaten with rice, it left my stomach feeling comfortably full.
