## In short

Jindallae Silbi Sadang Branch is a retro bar in Dongjak, Seoul, near Sadang Station Exit 8, serving a 15-dish Jindallae course for ₩39,000 per person with unlimited rice and ramen noodle refills. The course runs from sausage, porridge, pork bulgogi and duck through bossam, seafood stew, sashimi, flounder, sausage skewers, spicy fish stew, pork cutlet and watermelon for dessert — and surprisingly, the pork cutlet turned out to be the best dish of the night. Light eaters should bring a big eater along, because the portions just keep coming.

These days those "auntie's kitchen" and "uncle's kitchen" style bars are getting more and more popular, right?! Turns out there's one in Sadang too. I'd been wanting to check it out and finally got the chance to visit Jindallae Silbi Sadang Branch.

Honestly, with so many dishes coming out, I was a little suspicious it might be just okay... but wow, it was delicious!!!

The value for money was great, but the taste was also incredible, and I immediately understood why it's become a go-to group bar in the Sadang/Isu area. Curious how it went? Haha, let's get into the review right away~

## Getting there from Sadang Station: why I recommend Exit 8

From the subway, I recommend coming out Exit 8, turning left, and walking straight ahead~ If you go via Exit 7, you'll hit stairs above all!!! And the road has both uphill and downhill stretches. (Come out Exit 8 and use the escalator instead — our knees are precious.)

How did I figure this out... hahaha, by a miracle, I went via Exit 7 and came back via Exit 8, lol. That's how I found out — the Exit 8 route is nicer, at least in my opinion haha.

## Retro vibes and unlimited rice and ramen noodle refills

Jindallae Silbi Sadang Branch is located on the 2nd floor. The moment I walked in — whoa, so retro!!! Even the TV was playing old-school Korean pop songs, which just amped up the nostalgic vibe even more.

And at this place, rice and ramen noodles are unlimited refills. The spicy fish stew comes out near the end, and I recommend pairing it with the refills!!

Also, Jindallae Silbi Sadang Branch runs various events!!! The Jindallae course is ₩39,000 per person but comes with a whopping 15 dishes. And after 8pm there's a crazy discount — 6 dishes for ₩20,000!!! This place just smells like it's giving everything away.

## The first spread: sausage, porridge, pork bulgogi, duck, japchae, tofu

First up came sausage, porridge, pork bulgogi (jeyuk), duck, japchae (glass noodle stir-fry), tofu, and ssamjang (dipping sauce). For me, the duck was the best here — the grilling was just so good!!!!!!

The most disappointing was the pork bulgogi, sadly. It tasted good, but I'm a total lightweight when it comes to spice, and it was really spicy. If you're not as spice-sensitive as me, you'll probably love it~ Nice touch that a rice ball came with it too haha.

I was already satisfied after just this first round of dishes, and it made me even more excited for what was coming next~

![Chive pancake with squid](https://img.superchart.com/images/sadang-jindallae-silbi-unlimited-rice-ramen/sadang-jindallae-silbi-unlimited-rice-ramen-12-1l0vs-966.webp)

## Bossam and chive pancake

Next came bossam (boiled pork wraps) and pancake, and wow... the bossam was genuinely delicious!!! When I eat bossam, I'm honestly more of a mu-malaengi (dried radish) person than a kimchi person, and eating it together with what looked like mu-saengchae or mu-malaengi was pure game over!!!

Even the chive pancake wasn't spicy at all, and the squid inside was plump with a great chewy bite, so I really enjoyed it~

![Seafood stew topped with a whole squid body](https://img.superchart.com/images/sadang-jindallae-silbi-unlimited-rice-ramen/sadang-jindallae-silbi-unlimited-rice-ramen-13-ck7km-966.webp)

## Seafood stew with a whole squid body

Whoa... you guys have to see the level of this seafood stew. The squid was so plump, and they just gave the whole body!!! Is the leg from before this squid's partner?? Lol.

The seafood stew had zero fishy taste, so there's really no issue eating it~ Since it's a solid Sadang spot, it wouldn't be bad even as a casual meetup, not just a company dinner.

![Sashimi plate served as part of the course](https://img.superchart.com/images/sadang-jindallae-silbi-unlimited-rice-ramen/sadang-jindallae-silbi-unlimited-rice-ramen-15-1iuep-966.webp)

![Picking up a piece of sashimi](https://img.superchart.com/images/sadang-jindallae-silbi-unlimited-rice-ramen/sadang-jindallae-silbi-unlimited-rice-ramen-17-upeom-966.webp)

Sashimi came out too, and ugh... this course really is on point. Seriously... it's so good.

![Softly grilled flounder](https://img.superchart.com/images/sadang-jindallae-silbi-unlimited-rice-ramen/sadang-jindallae-silbi-unlimited-rice-ramen-18-p8hn9-966.webp)

The flounder was so soft I ate the whole thing... haha, I don't even eat this at home normally, but here I cleaned my plate.

## A no-fail event, bottled drinks, and sausage skewers

I mentioned an event, right? And get this — nobody loses!!! There's really no reason not to join, so make sure to try it!!! I got 5th place... and won a soft drink haha.

But since Jindallae Silbi Sadang Branch has a retro concept, even the drinks all come in glass bottles, of course. This place really brings back memories!!!

Ah — speaking of retro, sausage skewers (soyya)! I already thought the pink sausage at the very start had a certain charm, and then the soyya on top of that!!! But I was so full I only had one... there was still more to come... Honestly I was already done after the seafood stew... but it was so good I kept having a bit more. Ugh, if you're a light eater, definitely bring a big eater along with you lol.

## You can't resist ramen noodles in the spicy fish stew

Ugh... the spicy fish stew came out, and there's no way I wasn't adding ramen noodles!! Yep... I added them. I was about to burst but added them anyway. The stew was also a bit spicy! (of course, by my low spice-tolerance standard). It goes great with alcohol though, so no worries there~

## The surprise winner: pork cutlet

And then... this pork cutlet was the plot twist. I figured it'd just be your standard frozen pork cutlet, you know? But nope — frozen or not, doesn't matter, wherever it's from, the inside was so tender and juicy, this is a genuine pork cutlet spot!!! It was honestly that good.

If you ask me what was #1 out of everything I ate, it's the pork cutlet.

- 1st place: Pork cutlet
- 2nd place: Bossam
- 3rd place: Duck

Haha, if I had to rank them that's how it'd go, but honestly everything was delicious~

![Pork cutlet served later in the course](https://img.superchart.com/images/sadang-jindallae-silbi-unlimited-rice-ramen/sadang-jindallae-silbi-unlimited-rice-ramen-23-berh5-m-966.webp)

![Star-shaped dalgona game and watermelon dessert](https://img.superchart.com/images/sadang-jindallae-silbi-unlimited-rice-ramen/sadang-jindallae-silbi-unlimited-rice-ramen-24-3dckv-966.webp)

## Dalgona event and watermelon for dessert

Now, one more event — dalgona (honeycomb candy)! Crack the star shape cleanly(?) and get a free bottle of soju!!! ...Haha, nope. This one's thick, so most people will fail, right? If anyone's succeeded... please share your story.

Now for the real finale!!! Watermelon for dessert. Seriously, where did they even find such delicious watermelon — nothing here was less than great. And to think a place giving away this much is right here in Sadang!!!! This is a must for group dinners.

When I visited, there were small groups like us but also plenty of big group parties. I recommend Jindallae Silbi Sadang Branch for casual meetups or team dinners!! With all the events and a boss who just keeps giving out extras... this is a place where you can genuinely leave stuffed to bursting~ Plus, after 8pm you can eat even cheaper!!!
