## In short

Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch is a Chinese restaurant on the 2nd floor of an officetel in Marine City, Haeundae, Busan, with a private room in back that offers views of Marine City and Dongbaekseom, making it great for company dinners or family gatherings. The writer had eoheokgaji twigim (fish-fragrant fried eggplant), mala gochu jjamppong, sooranjamgyeop ganjajang, and abalone shrimp fried rice, with the fried eggplant standing out for its moist interior and crisp coating. As the first customer of the day, every dish came out quickly — a Marine City meeting spot worth returning to.

Today I'm introducing a Marine City restaurant that's perfect for those times you're stuck on where to host a group in Marine City — Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch, with upscale interior, great atmosphere, and a gorgeous ocean view that's sure to impress.

## Hours and parking info

- Hours 11:00 ~ 22:00
- Break time 15:30 ~ 17:00
- Parking: 1.5 hours free parking at Adelis
- If building parking is difficult, you can park along the road by Marine City beach (both directions allowed)

## How to get there — watch the elevator capacity

Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch is on the 2nd floor of a commercial building inside an officetel by the Marine City beach, so you can park within the officetel building itself. Once you enter the building, there's an elevator right there that takes you up to Bueokgan conveniently. However, the elevator doesn't fit many people, so if you're in a large group you'll need to split up. (Max capacity is 6, but 3–4 is the sweet spot.)

## A private room great for gatherings, with a Dongbaekseom view

Here's a look at the interior and exterior of Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch. Like the Haeundae branch, one reason people keep coming back to Bueokgan is the upscale interior — eating a delicious meal in a clean, classy restaurant just puts you in a good mood, right? Go deeper into the spacious, tidy main hall and you'll find a private room that's great for company dinners or family meeting-the-parents type gatherings — inside, it feels even more special and cozy, plus you get to enjoy a fantastic view of Marine City and Dongbaekseom.

To find the place, look for Suyeon Choego Pork Gukbap at the far end of Marine City — the buildings there all look somewhat alike, but once I spotted the gukbap restaurant on the ground floor, I knew right away I'd come to the right place. You'll find the Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch sign at the entrance to the left of the gukbap restaurant.

## Apron and basic side dishes

A must-have at any Chinese restaurant — they had aprons on hand too. (I splashed jjamppong broth all over myself that day, haha.) The tea didn't taste like jasmine tea, though I couldn't tell exactly what it was — maybe barley tea? Basic side dishes provided were danmuji (pickled radish) and jajangmyeon pickles.

## Eoheokgaji Twigim, Mala Gochu Jjamppong, Sooran Samgyeop Ganjajang, Abalone Shrimp Fried Rice

Eoheokgaji twigim (fish-fragrant fried eggplant) is a dish with a great balance between the moist eggplant and the crisp, clean batter — if you visit Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch, this is the one I'd absolutely recommend.

Mala gochu jjamppong is a perfect choice if you love cilantro and mala spice. There's quite a lot of beef in it too, so every time my meat-loving housemate took a bite of the fried rice, I'd put a piece of beef on their spoon, haha.

Sooran samgyeop ganjajang has pork belly mixed in, giving it a chewy, savory flavor — probably the most crowd-pleasing, safe choice on the menu.

As for the abalone shrimp fried rice, my housemate's take was that the amount of seafood felt a bit skimpy for the price — please add a little more abalone and shrimp!!!

## The best time to take photos

Since I happened to be the very first customer that day, all the dishes came out quite quickly. When there are already other customers, dishes tend to come out at staggered times, so if you want to get all your menu items together for a photo, it helps to visit during a quieter hour.

With a gorgeous view, easy access, and special, delicious food, Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch is a Marine City restaurant I want to keep coming back to. That's my tasty review, done!
