I was looking for a clean, nice place to eat shabu-shabu in Hapjeong and ended up visiting Shabu in Seoul Hapjeong Branch.

It's close to Hapjeong Station Exit 8, so it was easy to find, and being inside Mecenatpolis made it even more accessible.

The interior overall felt clean and calm. The tables had decent spacing between them, and the booth partitions made it easy to focus on the meal.

I love loading shabu-shabu up with vegetables and eating it together with the meat, so I added the ingredients one by one and cooked them. Dipping the meat briefly in the bubbling broth and pulling it out gave a soft texture with all the juiciness still there, and pairing it with vegetables made it light and clean.

And the Vietnamese rice paper rolls turned out to be more fun than I expected. Placing meat and vegetables on rice paper, rolling it up, and dipping it in the sauce — the crunch of the vegetables and the chewiness of the meat came together perfectly.
