Not long after ordering, the table filled up with banchan first, and I'd assumed at a meat place the side dishes would just be an afterthought, but each one was delicious enough that I kept reaching for more!! The color alone got me excited, haha! Well-grilled meat is delicious on its own, but wrapping it in lettuce with vegetables made it even better, haha! It was loaded with tendon and meat, a totally different feel from a doenjang jjigae that's mostly just broth. It also had plenty of tofu, which I love, so it was even better, haha. ## Hwangmi pot rice and nurungji (scorched rice) to finish And personally, the dish I was most satisfied with was the hwangmi pot rice, haha! Icheon means rice, right?! Made with freshly milled rice, the rice itself was delicious, and eating it with the meat, we barely needed any other side dishes!! Haha! At the end, they poured water into the pot to make scorched rice, and that finished the meal perfectly!! From the meat to the banchan, the doenjang jjigae, and the pot rice, it really felt like a full, proper meal at Icheon restaurant Neul Gogi Jip Icheon Main Branch!!! If you're looking for a hearty meal during a trip to Icheon, it'd make a great stop on your Icheon travel course, haha!
