Anyone else feel like every second in the morning counts? I was so tired of wrestling with my uneven eyebrows in front of the mirror every single day. So after much thought, I decided to get an eyebrow tattoo — but with so many studios out there, I couldn't figure out which one was actually good, so I kept putting it off.

## A brow tattoo redo after 5 years: how much did it hurt?

I'd actually gotten an eyebrow tattoo once before, five years ago, and the memory of how painful it was stuck with me strongly — so I went in half excited, half nervous. Sensing this, the director calmly reassured me so I wouldn't worry about the pain.

About 10 minutes after applying numbing cream, the real sketching work began. That's when her exceptional attention to detail started to show.

She carefully considered facial symmetry, the shape and angle of my brow bones, and drew the guideline with real precision, checking with me in the mirror along the way — it built up a lot of trust.

Once the sketch design was fully finished, the actual tattooing began. At first, old memories of pain made my whole body tense up without realizing it, but the director kept chatting calmly with me while working with delicate, meticulous care. Surprisingly, it hurt noticeably less than before, so I was able to relax through the whole thing. From design to finish, the whole process took about 2 hours, though this can vary from person to person.
