After eating at Hyeongjeae Guuijeom, a well-known Chinese restaurant near Guui Station, with a friend,

we demolished a delicious lunch set and headed over to nearby NC East Pole to browse. Looking for somewhere to grab a post-lunch drink, we stumbled on Center Coffee Guui East Pole!

This Guui café, Center Coffee Guui East Pole, sits almost directly in front of Guui Station Exit 3. Ride the escalator down and you're right at the mall entrance.

## High ceilings and an open floor: Center Coffee on a Monday afternoon

It's an open-plan café. Places like this are usually small, but Center Coffee Guui East Pole was surprisingly massive. Even at 2pm on a Monday, it was packed — clearly a popular spot!

There were some uniquely designed tables and chairs too. A four-person table opened up so we moved right over — way more comfortable than what we had before.

The dessert lineup looked like this: two kinds of scones, tiramisu, cheesecake, and what seemed to be new items — pavlova and mango cake. We decided to get one dessert, and picked from the new arrivals.

Center Coffee logo badge — ₩5,500. I always thought the Center Coffee logo was distinctive, and turns out they sell it as a badge too!

They sell capsule coffee too. I've quit coffee so I can't drink it anymore, but I'm tempted to try a decaf one when I hit day 100... still deciding, haha.

## How the iced mugwort latte and iced flat white tasted

While we were still looking around the café, the drinks and dessert came out faster than expected!

I was really proud of this photo, haha. Feels like my photography's getting better bit by bit. My phone's pretty old so the quality isn't great, but once I upgrade next year I think I'll get better shots. Hang in there a bit longer, iPhone 12...

A sweet iced mugwort latte topped with soft whipped cream — this was my order. I usually drink tea, but that day I wanted something with milk for once. The mugwort flavor was subtle and pleasant, and while the sweetness felt strong at first, it balanced out nicely as the ice melted.

My friend's iced flat white — she said it tasted richer than a regular latte. I'd never even tried a flat white before I quit coffee. I always go for quantity over everything else, haha.

Mango, mango, mango cake. The whole cake looks yellow thanks to the mango, and there's mango tucked inside the layers too.

This mango cake is a guaranteed sugar rush. The cream wasn't a milk cream — it tasted more like yogurt cream. Personally, I think yogurt cream just goes better with mango!
