## In short

Marblejeong is a Korean BBQ restaurant in Seongdong, Seoul, serving 1++ Korean beef and beef brisket doenjang-jjigae. I tried the mixed grill, sauces, stew, and cold noodles with staff grilling. Verdict: a polished pick for an anniversary date or company dinner.

## Marblejeong near Ttukseom Station: location and parking

![뚝섬역 마블정 위치 안내](https://img.superchart.com/images/seongsu-hanwoo-chadol-doenjang-marblejeong/seongsu-hanwoo-chadol-doenjang-marblejeong-02-h0i8s-740.webp)

Marblejeong is a three-minute walk from Exit 5 of Ttukseom Station. It is easy to reach by subway, and there is separate parking, so driving was convenient too.

![Marblejeong parking area](https://img.superchart.com/images/seongsu-hanwoo-chadol-doenjang-marblejeong/seongsu-hanwoo-chadol-doenjang-marblejeong-03-1e0kp-740.webp)

I visited at weekend lunch, and all five parking spaces were empty, so parking was a breeze. For accessibility alone, it definitely gets a passing grade.

## What are the black-toned space and private rooms like?

![Marblejeong second-floor entrance](https://img.superchart.com/images/seongsu-hanwoo-chadol-doenjang-marblejeong/seongsu-hanwoo-chadol-doenjang-marblejeong-04-1yjv6-740.webp)

Go up the stairs and Marblejeong is on the second floor. The first things that caught my eye upon entering were the wet-aged Korean beef and the display of various alcoholic drinks.

The black-toned interior felt luxurious yet clean overall. By the windows, the lighting and natural light came together especially well for photos.

![Black-toned table area at Marblejeong](https://img.superchart.com/images/seongsu-hanwoo-chadol-doenjang-marblejeong/seongsu-hanwoo-chadol-doenjang-marblejeong-06-1wt3c-740.webp)

The tables were fairly well spaced, and there were private rooms too, so it was easy to eat and chat without feeling cramped. It would work nicely for a group gathering, date, or Seongsu company dinner.

## 1++ Korean beef mixed grill and the difference between 1+ and 1++

![Marblejeong 1++ Korean beef menu](https://img.superchart.com/images/seongsu-hanwoo-chadol-doenjang-marblejeong/seongsu-hanwoo-chadol-doenjang-marblejeong-07-1n06t-740.webp)

Marblejeong's signature menu is 1++ Korean beef and Korean pork. I ordered the 1++ beef in particular because I heard that a meat-processing specialist personally selects and trims it.

The difference between 1+ and 1++ Korean beef shows in marbling density and texture, and once I tasted it, I could really tell. See the video for the other menu items ↓

### What we ordered

- 1++ Korean beef mixed grill, 400g ₩127,200
- 1++ Korean beef brisket doenjang-jjigae (soybean paste stew), ₩12,000
- Dessert mul-naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles), ₩7,000
- Steamed rice, ₩1,000 × 2

About 10 minutes after ordering, the side dishes began arriving. There were plenty of unusual ones—lettuce salad, seasoned lettuce, seasoned gungchae (stem lettuce), myeongi jangajji pickles, celery pickles, and gat kimchi—so it had the distinctive feel of a Seongsu-dong hot spot.

The basic side-dish spread was generous from the start, and refills were available if we ran low. I especially loved the salad topped with bocconcini and cherry tomatoes, and we finished two bowls.

There were no fewer than four sauces: fresh wasabi, shiitake wasabi, perilla-leaf pesto, and Maldon salt.

Of these, the perilla-leaf pesto and shiitake wasabi paired best: they cut through the richness of the meat and left a subtle fragrance at the end.

The mixed Korean beef platter came neatly arranged with sirloin, salchisal (a tender, well-marbled beef cut), brisket, king oyster mushrooms, button mushrooms, and asparagus. Labels for each cut meant there was no chance of getting confused.

The marbling looked so gorgeous that I wanted to dig in right away, but thanks to the grilling service, all I had to do was sit back and wait.

You can grill it yourself too, so toward the end my partner, who is confident at grilling meat, stepped up and cooked it for us.

The sirloin was appealing for its chewy bite and tendon, while the salchisal was outstandingly soft, practically melting in the mouth.

I quickly cooked the brisket and ate it with wasabi, asparagus, and pickled celery; its nutty richness really burst through. Personally, salchisal was my top pick.

The brisket doenjang-jjigae was priced accordingly because it contained 1++ brisket, but the meat was tender and deeply beefy. It was packed with onion, zucchini, potato, and enoki mushrooms—almost enough for three servings. Without the usual heaviness of doenjang, it finished clean and kept making me reach for rice, so I ended up ordering another bowl.

I was a little disappointed that the dessert mul-naengmyeon did not have an egg topping, but its refreshing dongchimi (radish-water kimchi) broth washed away every bit of beef fat.

## Would it suit a Seongsu company dinner or date?

![Recommendation for Seongsu company dinners and dates](https://img.superchart.com/images/seongsu-hanwoo-chadol-doenjang-marblejeong/seongsu-hanwoo-chadol-doenjang-marblejeong-22-wykmc-740.webp)

If you are looking for great Korean beef in Seongsu, Marblejeong handled both company dinners and dates with ease. For group reservations of 10 or more, they say they can prepare special cuts if you inquire in advance. There is also a lunch special and a birthday miyeok-guk bansang (seaweed soup set meal) event underway, so I imagine it is popular with nearby office workers.

![Häagen-Dazs ice cream review event](https://img.superchart.com/images/seongsu-hanwoo-chadol-doenjang-marblejeong/seongsu-hanwoo-chadol-doenjang-marblejeong-23-1vhru-740.webp)

You can also receive Häagen-Dazs ice cream by joining the review event, choosing either a bar or a cup, which made the ending satisfying too.

As it turns out, TWICE's Tzuyu, actor Kim So-hyun, and Lee Jong-hyuk have all visited too. From the ambience to the food quality and service, everything felt consistently upscale from beginning to end.

If you are looking near Ttukseom for an anniversary date, company dinner, or a place to treat someone, this is a Seongsu-dong hot spot worth trying at least once. Just check in advance that corkage is charged.
