## Cafe Ssum hours and where to park near Sinnonhyeon Station

Cafe Ssum is open Monday to Friday 08:30–18:30 and Saturday 10:00–16:00, closed every Sunday. The warm colors and hand-lettered signage give off a cozy, dreamy vibe even from the outside.

🚗 Parking 🚗 There's no dedicated lot, but the Eonguibi public parking lot right in front of the shop is cheap to use at ₩150 per 5 minutes (about ₩1,800 for an hour).

## Inside Cafe Ssum: seating and atmosphere

Inside, Cafe Ssum is small and warm, like visiting a friend's attic room. If it were near my house it'd be my go-to hideout!!

Most tables seat 2 to 4 people, but it's never crowded, so it's comfortable to visit solo too.

There's a small outdoor seating area too, which should be nice once the weather cools down a bit. If you have a friend in the neighborhood, this would be a great spot to meet up and chat over drinks in the evenings.

## Cafe Ssum menu: bingsu sizes and bulk egg tart orders

Cafe Ssum has a variety of drinks and desserts (egg tarts/bingsu) on the menu. The bingsu (shaved ice dessert) comes in small (1–2 servings) or medium (2–3 servings), so it's easy to enjoy alone or with one other person without going overboard. It's near Sinnonhyeon Station but still very reasonably priced, so it's easy to drop by without worrying about the bill.

The signature egg tarts can also be ordered in bulk with advance notice. If you're looking for a group gift or a thank-you present, I'd recommend the egg tarts! The packaging is pretty too, so it feels like a thoughtfully prepared gift.

The coffee was nutty and clean without any sourness, and given how reasonably priced it is, I'd recommend the prepaid card for anyone who lives nearby and drinks coffee often.

### Small snow ice bingsu: too much for one, perfect for two

The small snow ice bingsu is listed as serving 1–2 people, but it's honestly a lot for one and turns out to be just right for two. Soft milk ice is generously topped with nutty roasted bean powder, chewy injeolmi (sweet rice cake), and nuts.

What I especially liked was that there was red bean paste mixed into the ice itself. The sweet red bean running through the bingsu meant I didn't even need to add extra condensed milk — it stayed delicious to the very last bite.

Apparently these nata de Óbidos-style egg tarts, made in the traditional Portuguese way, taste best eaten by hand and bitten straight into rather than cut with a knife, to get the crispiest pastry texture.

The crispy pastry is layered with tangy-sweet blueberries and smooth cream cheese. The rich, nutty cream cheese paired with the tartness of the blueberries went so well with coffee. This felt like the kind of café you'd only know about if you lived in the neighborhood, so I felt oddly proud and happy to have discovered it!!
