At the time they had fig, mango, and peach varieties. Everything from small mini cakes to the signature "waeoreu" (tumbling) cake — the one so loaded with fruit it looks like it's spilling over — was there, and it's the signature item of Siznique Shinsegae Department Store Daegu Branch, a well-known Daegu cake spot. I visited with my parents, and the visuals were so good it took forever to pick, haha. It's on the basement floor of the department store, right in front of the escalator and in the most central spot, so it was very easy to find. We had come to Daegu by train, and it was so convenient to carry the cake on to the subway or to the train station. We bought it on the way back after a full day out, and it wasn't a burden to carry at all. I feel like fig and peach have gotten even more love this year, haha, and they also happen to be fruits I love, so I was thrilled! Don't you think summer fruit just tastes better? I have a peach allergy, so I passed on it. I nearly bought it without checking, but the staff kindly asked about allergies before I purchased, which I appreciated.
