First, the classic flavor! The red bean paste filling is the most important part of a walnut pastry, right? The filling was nicely sweet with a refined flavor. If it is too sweet, you get tired of it after only a few, but Buja Hodu's went down so easily and deliciously without that happening. It was my first time trying a pea cream cheese walnut pastry, and it was such an interesting flavor that I kept reaching for more. The pea flavor was rich, while you could still taste the bean paste and the mildness of the cream cheese. Maybe because the pea flavor was so pronounced, it even felt kind of healthy, haha. It is funny to look for healthiness in a snack, but I just mean that I loved being able to taste the pea flavor!! Isn't matcha walnut pastry something you do not see every day, too? Haha. I already love matcha, so there was no way I could skip it, right?? Its pleasantly bitter, refined matcha flavor came through well, and the sweetness was nice, too. The bean paste was stronger than the matcha itself, so I think even people who do not especially love matcha could enjoy it, haha. ## Why I chose these as walnut pastry gifts Buja Hodu, the Hwangridan-gil dessert shop I visited this time, had great flavor and good value, too. It is a really nice gift set, and the careful packaging makes it a gift that is hard to go wrong with~ There are lots of flavors, so choose one that suits your taste; I think both kids and adults would enjoy them. Since they are a sweet snack, they pair wonderfully with a bitter Americano!
