Hey everyone haha ~ let me tell you about the frozen samgyeopsal dinner I had yesterday when I stopped by my parents' place.

There's an Eungbongjip near my parents' place that I'd wanted to try for a while, and I finally went yesterday. We ate a hearty spread of samgyeopsal, doenjang stew, and fried rice, and it was even better than I expected, so here's my review right away.

## Evening wait and how ordering works at the table kiosk

At Eungbongjip Dasan Station Branch, you order through the table kiosk and pay staff after you're done eating. We went during the early evening so we lucky got a table, but it's usually popular during dinner hours and on weekends. Because it's frozen samgyeopsal, table turnover is high, so the wait tends to be relatively short. The meat cooks fast, which makes the wait feel much less of a burden haha!!

## Why Eungbongjip is comfortable for a dinner with parents

I was surprised how clean the restaurant looked the moment I walked in. I'd always pictured samgyeopsal places as old-school and worn, but this place was completely different lol. They kept the windows open, so we could enjoy a cool breeze without worrying about smell or smoke haha~

The window-side seats felt bright with a nice view outside, while the inner seats had a cozier feel. The tables were spaced generously and the interior was tidy overall, which made it comfortable to bring my parents along. The staff were friendly with taking orders too, and their service felt quick and attentive.

## What we ordered at Eungbongjip and what it cost

The basic side dishes came out generously too, so my expectations shot up the moment the table was set. The steamed egg was like pudding — so good haha~

The frozen samgyeopsal was sliced thin, so it cooked fast on the grill and had a tender texture. Grilled to a light golden brown, the nutty flavor really came through, and it was clean with no gamey taste at all.

### Does the ₩37,000 three-person set feed three adults? Plus Eungbong cheonggukjang stew

The 3-person set / Handon + discount set was enough to fill three adults, and the value was pretty solid. The Eungbong cheonggukjang stew wasn't too salty — the savory broth was just right for taking a bite between rounds of meat. It came out in a stone pot so it stayed hot till the end, and it was packed with hearty ingredients.

### Kkakdugi fried rice, finished as crispy scorched rice

The kkakdugi (radish kimchi) fried rice got pressed onto the grill like that and turned into crispy scorched rice later — so good. The tangy-sweet kkakdugi broth mixed evenly through the rice, making it a clean way to finish after all the meat.

The kkakdugi fried rice had a slight smoky char to it, which paired really well with the meat. Maybe it's the fall weather, but hot soup and fried rice dishes are especially craveable this season.

With the cooler weather these days, it feels like a perfect time to visit for grilled meat. Next time I'm planning to try the set menu with naengmyeon (cold noodles) haha~~

## An after-dinner walk at Dasan Waterside Park

After the meal, a walk over to nearby Dasan Waterside Park would be nice too. It's great for strolling along the Wangsuk Stream, and the wide lawn makes it a perfect post-meal walking course. We also took a light walk around the area after dinner before heading home.
