I went to Songdo for a trip and heard about a salt bread hotspot, so we went to Cozy Bear bakery café! COZY BEAR

Everyone kept saying it was a must-visit, so honestly I wasn't expecting much?! But wow... I really did find a proper salt bread spot, whoa ❤️

## A 10 a.m. snack run between pool sessions on a Songdo hotel stay

I was looking for a stay with a pool and ended up booking a night at Songdo Western Park. After checking in the day before and swimming in the afternoon, I wanted to swim again the next morning before checkout haha, so I went looking for a snack beforehand — and that's how I ended up at Cozy Bear!

There's a lot to eat around there and a mart nearby too, so I'd spotted it the evening before on the way to the mart. I thought it was just a café, but it turned out to be a bakery café.

They even had an opening event where buying 3 salt breads gets you 1 free!! The bake times were 9am and 2pm, and since we came at 10am we managed to avoid a sellout haha.

## Inside Cozy Bear: the space and the drink menu

The bear character was cute, and the shopping bag design and packaging containers were super cute too. The second we walked in, that butter smell hit — an absolutely mind-blowing smell.

They're apparently just as serious about their coffee as their salt bread haha. We had to head straight to the pool after buying bread so sadly I couldn't get coffee, but the signature vanilla bean cream latte keeps flashing before my eyes haha. They had coffee, non-coffee, ade, and tea options.

They also sell an ang-butter salt bread, using domestic red beans that they boil themselves. Seems like they're serious about everything they sell...

Ahhh ~~~~~~~~~ I wanted to try them all, but how do you pick just 4 lol. But since we're not exactly big bread eaters, buying a lot doesn't mean we'll eat a lot, so I had to pick carefully haha.

## How many seats does Cozy Bear have?

There weren't many seats to sit and eat at Cozy Bear. Two 4-person tables, two 2-person tables. But there were also tables on the terrace, so in this cool weather, eating outside might be a nice option too.

## The mentaiko salt bread was the standout

We tried the mentaiko (pollack roe) salt bread right in the car, and honestly — you have to try this one. I haven't had mentaiko salt bread many times, but this was the best one I've ever had.

The outside is crispy while the inside is packed with mentaiko filling, and the crumb is chewy. I'm someone who loves spicy food, and this mentaiko filling had a spicy kick like buldak mayo!! (kids probably couldn't handle it). Completely my style. Please let me have it again, ahhhhh.

## Plain, garlic and potato salt bread reheated in the air fryer

My husband ran the plain salt bread through the air fryer on his day off — he's not usually generous with ratings for plain, understated breads like this, but he said it tasted exactly like what you'd hope a salt bread would taste like (a genuinely good review lol).

I froze the garlic and potato ones and ran them through the air fryer myself in the morning, and I recommend the garlic salt bread!!!! The garlic spread — is that what it's called? — was slathered generously all through it (every single crevice), and it was crispy, savory, salty!!! Like eating garlic baguette lol. Pure deliciousness.

If you ever have a reason to visit Songdo, Cozy Bear is a salt bread spot I'll definitely go back to — you should definitely stop by!!
