I went out with my husband for a long-overdue Friday night out, and here's our review of Meongteongguri Kkomjangeo Makchang, a restaurant near Sindorim Station! There's no parking, but for us it turned out to be surprisingly convenient — there's a bus that goes straight from near our place to a stop right in front of the restaurant. There's an old-school feel everywhere that's hard to find these days, so I ended up having just as much fun looking around the place as eating. The TV was playing a familiar old-music channel, and the walls were covered in retro old photos — I got so caught up looking at them all that I lost track of time. Overall it's a comfortable, lively pojangmacha atmosphere, exactly the kind of place to chat over good meat and a drink after work! But above all, the spicy bean sprout soup (kongnamul haejangguk) was outstanding — apparently it's an unlimited refill when you order soju. Plump and springy yet tender at the same time! I haven't tried hagfish that many times, but this might be the best hagfish I've ever had.
