Today I visited a dessert café near Balsan Station! There's a terrace so you can sit outside with a cool breeze — this place is a Gangseo bakery gem where you can enjoy freshly baked desserts made in-store with premium ingredients at reasonable prices.

I stepped inside! Byway Bakers Balsan Station stands out with its orange interior. It's a quiet, peaceful atmosphere, so a lot of people were there for studying too. The space is big enough to accommodate group guests! The coffee and drink menu is quite varied, with seasonal drinks that seemed popular — watermelon juice, matcha melon latte, and more to enjoy! Orders are placed at the kiosk.

This place uses grass-fed butter made from premium milk in its bakery menu!! So the flavor of the bread felt distinctly different from other places✨ There are so many kinds of bread, let me introduce them!

Pistachio fig salt bread, Dubai chocolate salt bread, Dubai chewy cookies, fresh peach yogurt wakkbu salt bread, blueberry yogurt wakkbu salt bread, shine muscat wakkbu salt bread — they even have the trendy wakkbu salt bread, but it's a popular item and was sold out. So disappointing😭😭

Despite the name, pineapple bun doesn't actually contain fruit — it gets its name from the crackled crust on top that resembles a pineapple's skin, and it's a classic Hong Kong bakery item! It's popular enough to be called a national bread, eaten for breakfast or as a snack, and the combination with pineapple jam might be a first in Korea!!

## Choosing a 5-piece financier box at a discount

I bought some too!! I picked 5 financiers to buy at the discounted price. ₩13,500! The regular price is ₩15,700. I was so curious how such a cost-effective financier would taste🥰

Next time I'm definitely going to try the wakkbu salt bread. I'll have to visit earlier!! They use good ingredients and the prices are so reasonable I'm bound to become a regular👏👏

I bought a bunch of financiers, and they included storage and eating notes! Apparently they keep for 2-3 days at room temperature, 7 days refrigerated, and up to 14 days frozen! They taste best on the day you buy them, so I ate mine right away👍

For financier flavors I tried salty, pecan pie, almond choco, golden cheese, and fig! Crisp yet chewy, and soft too — such great texture! The butter flavor was so good🫰 This place's financiers aren't too sweet, and their savory-nutty flavor is really appealing, which would make them a great gift!

And the egg tart! Packed full of egg cream filling, so generous!! The moist egg pudding was so soft and savory, and the crispy tart with its sweet flavor came together so well🥰 I love egg tarts and you have to try this place's version💕
