## In short

T Coffee is a coffee-and-small-dessert café on the basement floor of 159 Achasan-ro in Seongsu, Seoul. After a Thai lunch nearby, the writer ordered two americanos at T Coffee — one Little Feet, one T Coffee Blend, told apart by straw color — plus one biscuit, with americanos starting at 5,500 won. Portions are small, but the coffee and the warm, fluffy biscuit beat expectations.

## Finding T Coffee: basement level at 159 Achasan-ro in Seongsu

We'd just had a delicious Thai meal and were looking for a nearby café when we spotted a place that looked calm and quiet. Leaving behind the usual chaotic crowds of Seongsu-dong, we ended up in a quieter area and came upon this building.

![Signage for T Coffee on B1 and T Gallery on B2](https://img.superchart.com/images/seongsu-t-coffee-two-beans-biscuit/seongsu-t-coffee-two-beans-biscuit-02-15uc0-966.webp)

B1 has T Coffee and Pizza Slice, and B2 has T Gallery. It was hot, so let's hurry downstairs — a quiet café in Seongsu called T Coffee.

## What is T Coffee like on a Saturday afternoon?

![T Coffee's crowded basement interior on a Saturday](https://img.superchart.com/images/seongsu-t-coffee-two-beans-biscuit/seongsu-t-coffee-two-beans-biscuit-03-1b2ek-966.webp)

Wait, this many people on a Saturday? Given its location, we assumed it wouldn't be busy, so we were genuinely surprised by how packed it was 🙊 When we first walked in there were still a few open seats and we grabbed a comfortable spot, but soon almost everything filled up.

Anyway, seats secured, time to order. We could see a bit of dessert near the spot where they were brewing coffee.

## T Coffee's menu and its two americano beans

Americano starts at ₩5,500 👀 Interesting that they have a mint latte. There was also a hand drip called Ethiopia Guji Gugugu Natural, but the price felt like a bit much, so we're going with americanos for now.

![Small desserts on display, including sandwiches and biscuits](https://img.superchart.com/images/seongsu-t-coffee-two-beans-biscuit/seongsu-t-coffee-two-beans-biscuit-06-w8izf-966.webp)

There were a few cute little desserts — sandwiches, biscuits, and so on. This was probably the actual items on display. The sizes are on the petite side, so it's not for filling up but more for a sweet little taste.

There were two bean options: LITTLE FEET and T COFFEE BLEND. Think of it as nutty versus acidic — we each ordered one of each. These days I only go for the acidic ones, no matter what. And we also ordered a biscuit.

## Straw colors tell the beans apart as coffee and biscuit arrive

![Two iced americanos placed on the table](https://img.superchart.com/images/seongsu-t-coffee-two-beans-biscuit/seongsu-t-coffee-two-beans-biscuit-08-13hoa-966.webp)

The two americanos showed up first ✨ No buzzer — a staff member brought them straight to our table. Do they just memorize where everyone's sitting? 🙊 The vibe was that you bring your empty cup back once you're done.

![Two americanos with different colored straws](https://img.superchart.com/images/seongsu-t-coffee-two-beans-biscuit/seongsu-t-coffee-two-beans-biscuit-09-d4o39-966.webp)

They explained which was which bean while serving, but looking again, the straws were actually different colors. That's a nice touch of thoughtfulness ❗️ Since both are iced americanos, it'd be easy to mix them up mid-drink, but with different straw colors it's easy to tell them apart.

![Small-sized iced americano cup with a person-shaped sticker](https://img.superchart.com/images/seongsu-t-coffee-two-beans-biscuit/seongsu-t-coffee-two-beans-biscuit-10-1opu0-966.webp)

The coffee size felt a bit small to me, used to mega-sized cups . . 🐒 T Coffee doesn't seem to be a café that wins on quantity. Which, honestly, makes me even more curious about the taste. There was a cute person-shaped sticker, so I grabbed it.

![T Coffee's biscuit served on a plate](https://img.superchart.com/images/seongsu-t-coffee-two-beans-biscuit/seongsu-t-coffee-two-beans-biscuit-11-f2wcz-966.webp)

Then the biscuit arrived. There was also a cream sandwich and a cheesecake?, but we picked the one that looked (somewhat?) biggest. This one, too, would probably disappear in a few bites, but let's just taste it. Luckily we're already full.

![Table with two americanos and the biscuit](https://img.superchart.com/images/seongsu-t-coffee-two-beans-biscuit/seongsu-t-coffee-two-beans-biscuit-12-2fzu1-966.webp)

Honestly, our order was pretty boring. Two americanos. If we'd ordered something more photogenic like the mint latte or matcha latte, the visuals would've been way flashier.

We were just too hot and desperate for iced americano drinking, unfortunately for me . .

![Close-up of the irregularly shaped biscuit](https://img.superchart.com/images/seongsu-t-coffee-two-beans-biscuit/seongsu-t-coffee-two-beans-biscuit-14-1xz04-966.webp)

### How is T Coffee's biscuit different from a scone?

The biscuit's shape felt a bit different from what I usually see at other cafés. Not a very standardized shape (though I feel like I've seen something similar somewhere?). At first glance, the surface looked hard.

![Soft biscuit cut in half with a fork, cross-section visible](https://img.superchart.com/images/seongsu-t-coffee-two-beans-biscuit/seongsu-t-coffee-two-beans-biscuit-15-ux0fk-966.webp)

But the moment I cut into it, it was really soft. It sliced right through even with barely any pressure from the fork. This biscuit is way softer than a scone. Also completely different from the biscuits at KFC — those are totally hard.

![A bite-sized piece of the warm biscuit](https://img.superchart.com/images/seongsu-t-coffee-two-beans-biscuit/seongsu-t-coffee-two-beans-biscuit-16-1n4o8-966.webp)

With the first bite I could feel warmth and fluffiness all at once. It was better than I expected, and genuinely good ❗️ I didn't have high hopes 🙊 With a biscuit like this, I feel like I could eat three in one sitting.

## Is T Coffee in Seongsu worth a visit? Final verdict

![Nearly finished americano with the remaining biscuit](https://img.superchart.com/images/seongsu-t-coffee-two-beans-biscuit/seongsu-t-coffee-two-beans-biscuit-17-vlepp-966.webp)

The coffee was tastier than expected, and the only downside was watching it disappear. T Coffee really is a coffee-lover's spot. Please give us more, sir . . 🙈 The biscuit vanished bit by bit too, gone before we knew it.

![T Coffee's thin, large water glass](https://img.superchart.com/images/seongsu-t-coffee-two-beans-biscuit/seongsu-t-coffee-two-beans-biscuit-18-1vtui-966.webp)

I also liked that the water glasses were thin and pretty large. So many cafés have tiny water glasses that make you go back and forth constantly, but here I only needed one refill after the first glass (gotta drink lots of water). T Coffee seems to draw a lot of office workers from around Seongsu, and since the coffee itself is genuinely good, I'd love to come back sometime. We had a great time chatting away too. Ate well, drank well, heading out now.
