## In short

Eulji Pocha Guro Digital Complex Branch is a retro-style pocha bar in Guro, Seoul, a 2-minute walk from Guro Digital Complex Station Exit 2. Visiting around 9:50pm as a second-round spot after drinks, the writer ordered a half plate of soy sauce chicken, old-school red bean bingsu, and old-school king pork cutlet, plus song requests and a claw machine game. Back on August 31st, I posted about visiting Robatayaki Sodam Guro Digital Complex Branch for a first round with my old high school academy friends — and I mentioned I'd post about the second-round bar soon too, haha. Today I'm finally keeping that promise, lol.

After eating and drinking well at the first spot, we moved on with our friends for round two. It was close to Guro Digital Complex Station, had a fun atmosphere, and even had a bunch of entertaining things to do, so today I'm sharing my review of this place :) It's a Guro Digital Complex Station favorite, Eulji Pocha Guro Digital Complex Branch.

## 2 minutes from Guro Digital Complex Station Exit 2 — easy to reach for round two

On Thursday, August 27th, 2026, I met up with two friends from my high school academy days after a long while. It had been almost 4 months since we'd seen each other, so during the first round we drank and caught up on everything we'd missed. As time passed, it felt like a shame to just say goodbye. So naturally we decided to go for round two and looked for a bar nearby.

That's how we ended up at Eulji Pocha Guro Digital Complex Branch, a Guro Digital Complex Station favorite. It was about a 2-minute walk from Robatayaki Sodam Guro Digital Complex Branch where we'd had our first round, and also about 2 minutes from Guro Digital Complex Station Exit 2 — very convenient. We arrived around 9:50pm.

- Hours: Daily 17:00–06:00
- Last order: 05:00
- No parking available

Parking isn't available, so if you're driving, keep that in mind.

## Lively pocha atmosphere with every table full even at 10pm

From the moment we walked in, the place was packed with customers. Even at that late hour, every table was full, and I wondered if this place is always this busy. There were quite a lot of tables and the overall vibe was energetic, making it a perfect spot for a second round with friends, lol.

![Tables full of customers inside Eulji Pocha](https://img.superchart.com/images/euljipocha-guro-digital-second-round/euljipocha-guro-digital-second-round-03-28tin-966.webp)

It wasn't the kind of place for quiet conversation — more of a lively pocha (Korean street-style tent bar) vibe, good for drinking, talking, and laughing loudly. I saw tables of coworkers having a drink after work and groups of friends hanging out too. There was also a restroom inside, with separate men's and women's facilities, which made it convenient to use.

As the name suggests, Eulji Pocha captures the retro vibe of the Euljiro alleys in a pocha-style space. It's designed so you can enjoy both the pocha atmosphere and a satisfying meal in Guro Digital Complex.

### What's on the menu?

The menu was quite varied. Apparently they introduce new items each season, and this season had everything from smoky stir-fries to rich, savory soups, fried dishes and noodle add-ons that fit a pocha perfectly, plus side dishes that pair well with drinks.

- Signature dishes: spicy seafood jjolzzajang (spicy seafood noodles), namdo kkomak muchim (seasoned cockles), Euljiro fire beef tendon stir-fry, Euljiro fire pork belly stir-fry, sichuan gganpunggi (crispy sweet-spicy chicken), shrimp in cream, one-bite meat and tofu
- Others: cheongju pork jjaglagi (stew), giant hot pot with boiled pork and broth, spicy chicken feet soup, spicy tteokbokki, golbaeng-i kalbi bibim (sea snail salad), oyster cream sujebi (hand-torn noodle soup), seafood fried pancake, yuringi (crispy chicken), tofu kimchi, cream udon, old-school king pork cutlet
- Meals & desserts: janchi guksu (banquet noodles), spicy kimchi udon, sugared tomatoes, ice cream hotteok

There were plenty of drinking snacks as well as full meals and even desserts, making it a good spot for a group to order a bunch of different things.

## What we ordered and the prices

Ordering was easy through the tablet PC at the table. Since there were so many menu items, we could take our time browsing. Since this was our second round, we planned to keep it simple and ordered a half plate of soy sauce chicken and old-school red bean bingsu. And of course drinks were a must, so we also ordered Jinro soju and Cass beer, lol.

- Soy sauce chicken (half plate) ₩13,000
- Old-school red bean bingsu ₩9,000
- Jinro ₩5,500
- Cass ₩5,500

## The coins you get with side orders — what are they for?

After ordering, I noticed there's actually a pretty fun system here. Depending on the price of your side dishes, you get coins you can use at Eulji Pocha. Each coin is worth ₩500 toward menu items in the store, though they can't be refunded in cash.

You can also use them for cotton candy, dalgona (honeycomb candy), and snacks, or try the claw machine, and even take Eulji photo booth pictures, lol. Apparently you can get extra coins by participating in a separate review event, so if you're interested, keep that in mind!

It felt like walking into a stationery store full of things to play with, even though we were at a bar — I was pleasantly surprised by that, haha.

![Claw machine placed inside the store](https://img.superchart.com/images/euljipocha-guro-digital-second-round/euljipocha-guro-digital-second-round-08-1n6e0-966.webp)

While waiting for our food, we tried the claw machine with friends and looked around the store to pass the time. Doing this kind of thing at a bar turned out to be more fun than I expected, haha.

Once we sat down, they brought out ppeong-twigi (puffed rice snack) as a basic side dish. The bowl it was served in already had that retro vibe going strong. It felt fun that even these small details matched the pocha atmosphere, lol. The staff were also friendly with orders and any requests, which made things easy.

## Old-school red bean bingsu paired with somaek — how was it?

Then the old-school red bean bingsu we ordered came out first. It had that classic look through and through, packed with cereal, red beans, vanilla ice cream, Froot Loops, jelly, and rice cakes.

As soon as the bingsu arrived, we cheered with somaek (soju mixed with beer) and dug in, lol. It had a sweet, familiar taste that turned out to be more delicious than expected, haha. Since this was our second round after already drinking at the first spot, having a spoonful of bingsu here and there felt like it soothed my stomach a bit. A sip of somaek followed by a spoonful of bingsu turned out to pair surprisingly well, lol.

Since we'd been drinking somaek during the first round too, we kept going with somaek for round two, lol. Time flew by as we caught up with friends over drinks.

## How do you request a song?

Looking to the side, I noticed a paper for requesting songs. Of course I couldn't just walk past that, lol. I filled out a request right away — you write your table number, artist name, song title, and a short message.

![Song request paper for writing table number and message](https://img.superchart.com/images/euljipocha-guro-digital-second-round/euljipocha-guro-digital-second-round-13-1akft-966.webp)

You bring the completed form to the DJ booth. I requested songs by G-Dragon, one of my favorite artists: G-Dragon — Home Sweet Home, G-Dragon — Untitled. For my message I wrote, 'I love G-Dragon! haha.'

But the DJ actually read the message out loud over the mic. I was a bit embarrassed for a moment, lol, but since no one knew which table number was mine, I figured no one could tell it was me, so I just laughed it off alone, lol.

Still, hearing a song by my favorite artist played right there at the bar felt great, haha. Having a drink with friends and listening to a song request added a whole other kind of fun.

## Soy sauce chicken half plate — a fitting side for round two?

A little while later, the soy sauce chicken half plate arrived. A half plate seemed just right for a second round.

![Half plate of soy sauce chicken served with cabbage salad](https://img.superchart.com/images/euljipocha-guro-digital-second-round/euljipocha-guro-digital-second-round-16-19thk-966.webp)

It was boneless, which made it easy to eat, and it was thigh meat rather than breast meat, which I liked even more. Chicken thigh really is the way to go, lol. It came with a cabbage salad topped with ketchup and mayo, which gave it a bit of that old-school fried chicken shop feel. The cabbage was fresh too, and eating it with the chicken helped cut through the richness.

The soy sauce chicken had a good balance of salty and sweet, and the batter was crispy, so it was delicious. Freshly fried chicken eaten warm really is amazing every time, lol.

We'd meant to keep things simple since it was round two, but the food was so good that we got greedy again. We finished the soy sauce chicken quickly and ended up ordering the old-school king pork cutlet too, lol.

## Old-school king pork cutlet, ₩12,000 — the size lives up to the name

The old-school king pork cutlet was ₩12,000. But this cutlet was seriously king-sized, lol. Just as the name says, it was quite huge.

![Old-school king pork cutlet filling the entire plate](https://img.superchart.com/images/euljipocha-guro-digital-second-round/euljipocha-guro-digital-second-round-18-1096j-966.webp)

It came with rice and the same cabbage salad that was served with the soy sauce chicken. Since it was so big, they even brought scissors so we could cut it into easy-to-eat pieces and enjoy it comfortably!

![Old-school king pork cutlet and rice cut with scissors](https://img.superchart.com/images/euljipocha-guro-digital-second-round/euljipocha-guro-digital-second-round-19-1v4h4-966.webp)

We didn't expect to be eating pork cutlet at a second-round bar, lol, but once we actually ordered and tried it, it turned out to be more delicious than expected. It's not a dedicated cutlet restaurant, but the coating was crispy and the meat was tender, making it good as a drinking snack too, haha. We ended up polishing off the entire old-school king pork cutlet, lol.

## Wrapping up a fiery Thursday: final thoughts

Time flew by as we had drinks, ate side dishes, and caught up with friends. It wasn't Friday, lol, but we properly wrapped up a fiery Thursday. Meeting up with friends I liked after a long time, enjoying delicious food and drinks, and just talking things through was healing in itself, haha. Between the first and second rounds, I think we really made up for the nearly 4 months we hadn't seen each other.

Eulji Pocha Guro Digital Complex Branch, a Guro Digital Complex Station favorite, was a place where you could enjoy a variety of side dishes along with a retro pocha atmosphere. The store was spacious with plenty of tables, making it a good option for drinks with friends, work dinners, or group gatherings. Apparently a lot of people in Guro Digital Complex stop by after work for a quick drink, or for a meal-plus-drinks after overtime. As someone looking for a second-round bar, I appreciated how close it was to Guro Digital Complex Station, making it easy to get to.

Eulji Pocha is run as a chain, so even if it's not the Guro Digital branch, you could visit whichever branch is closest to you. Next time, I'd like to try other branches and taste the menu items I didn't get to try this time, haha. If I visit again, I'd like to try making dalgona myself, lol.

- What was good: Close to Guro Digital Complex Station, spacious, and lively — great for a second round with friends.
- What could be better: No parking available, which might be inconvenient for those driving.
- Recommended for: Anyone looking for a Guro Digital Complex Station favorite with a retro pocha vibe, tasty side dishes, and drinks.
