I went for pasta this time, so I ordered the creamy rosé pasta and the classic meatball bolognese, both as sets. Instead of getting just the pasta on its own, ordering the set meant soup, salad and bread came along too, which made the meal feel much more filling. It was nice being able to have soup, salad and bread before the pasta arrived, and with each dish coming out one by one, the table looked pretty generous. First up was the creamy rosé pasta. The sauce combined a soft cream base with tomato, so it tasted savory but also a little fresh and tangy. The sauce coated the noodles well, so every bite carried that soft rosé flavor, and the cherry tomatoes and vegetables on top gave it refreshing little bursts here and there. Dipping the set's bread into the sauce worked really well too. With pasta, you often end up with leftover sauce, but eating it with bread meant we got to enjoy every bit of it. The salad that came with the set was great to have between bites of pasta. Its fresh taste reset my palate before going back to the pasta, so I could keep eating without it feeling heavy.
