That is how we ended up visiting Mellows (멜로우즈). The café was not huge, but there were quite a few terrace seats out front. Inside, there was enough room for around four groups at tables for two to three people. It was one of those days when you felt fine standing still, but got hot the moment you started walking because the sun was so strong. I had been craving ice cream that was soft like soft serve but had a rich milk flavor, and Sangha Farm ice cream sounded perfect. They also had several menu items based on it, so I was curious about the flavors~ There are lots of bingsu (shaved ice dessert) shops and ice cream stores these days, but surprisingly, it is hard to find a place specializing in this kind of proper soft-serve-style ice cream. I had been searching everywhere, and there it was in Seongsu! Inside the café, there were posters(?) with detailed descriptions for each type of ice cream. Each menu item showed the ingredients with illustrations, so it was fun choosing just by looking at the pictures, haha. It was a weekend afternoon, and the strawberry and mango options that had caught my eye with their looks were sold outㅠ The terrace was already full, too. It seemed like everyone knew this was a great ice cream place and got there early. Whoa. Drinks topped out at just ₩3,500, and the Sangha Farm ice cream was only ₩4,000–₩4,500. I thought I had read the price list wrong and looked again!! Haha. But it was an excellent dessert that was completely unbelievable for the price. The milk ice cream had granola at the bottom, so even the basic ice cream had a nice crunch. 🥰 Above all, the rich, milky Sangha Farm ice cream was the base, so anything added to it would be delicious. The deep chocolate ice cream, true to its name, had a deep, weighty chocolate flavor—not light milk-chocolate vibes ❌—and it went so well with the ice cream. 😍 Most of all, we ordered the iced Americano just in case we got thirsty, with no real expectations. It was budget-coffee pricing, but the flavor was better than expected, so I definitely recommend trying the coffee too! If you are visiting the Seongsu or Ttukseom area and looking for a great dessert place, it is absolutely perfect. It is lovely for taking a little break over dessert, and the owner was incredibly kind too!! The prices are reasonable, but the taste is absolutely not merely reasonable or just good value—Mellows!! I think I will be returning often, but I hope lots of people find it, it becomes famous, and more locations open here and there ㅜㅜ I only stopped by briefly and totally fell for Mellows, this Ttukseom Station dessert gem. I really recommend visiting!!
