## In short

Menya Seoul Yongsan I'Park Mall Branch is a ramen restaurant on the 7th floor of Living Park at Yongsan I'Park Mall in Seoul. Before an IMAX screening at the Yongsan CGV, the writer's family shared a dongpo pork chashu ramen set (cola plus gyoza) and a jambon ramen, and found the broth rich enough for Korean tastes, with real fun in comparing the two bowls. Menya Seoul is a solid stop for a warm noodle soup on a movie-and-shopping route through Yongsan.

Today I came with family to watch Odyssey at the CGV IMAX screen famous as 'Yongamek' (용아맥). After securing good seats, it was time to fill our growling stomachs — let's go!

When you're shopping or catching a movie at Yongsan I'Park Mall, it can be hard to decide what to eat.

That day I was craving noodles in a warm broth, so we stopped by Menya Seoul Yongsan I'Park Mall Branch. It's located on the 7th floor of I'Park Mall's Living Park, which makes it convenient to grab a meal while shopping.

What I ordered was the dongpo pork chashu ramen set (cola + gyoza) and the jambon ramen! 😘😘😘😘😘

## Dongpo pork chashu ramen set: how rich is the broth?

🍜 First up was the dongpo pork ramen set I picked. The ramen came topped with a generous piece of dongpo pork (braised pork belly), egg, scallions, and seaweed — it looked pretty appetizing just by sight.

The dongpo pork stood out because it was different from the usual thin chashu slices. Eating the thick chunks of meat along with the ramen broth felt much more filling than eating the noodles alone!

The noodles went really well with the broth, and alternating bites of dongpo pork with the noodles made for a fun way to eat. But most of all, the broth was so rich!! As soon as we tasted it, my family and I were saying 'wow! wow!' while slurping it up 😊😊😊😊😊 Honestly, ramen in Japan is often too salty for me, but this broth felt optimized for Korean tastes, so I enjoyed it a lot haha.

### What comes in the Menya Seoul set: gyoza and cola

Ordering the set also got us gyoza (dumplings) and cola, which made for a pretty satisfying full meal. If you'd feel like ramen alone isn't quite enough, going for the set to enjoy the sides too is a good idea.

![Gyoza with a crispy grilled surface](https://img.superchart.com/images/menya-seoul-yongsan-ipark-mall-ramen/menya-seoul-yongsan-ipark-mall-ramen-12-1ez8j-900.webp)

The gyoza had a crispy grilled surface, which made them great for snacking on between bites of ramen.

## Jambon ramen vs dongpo pork ramen: which bowl wins?

🥓 The other dish we ordered was jambon ramen. The toppings and overall feel were different from the dongpo pork ramen, so ordering both together made for a fun comparison. Menya Seoul offers not just dongpo pork but also jambon chashu ramen, and you can choose mild or spicy broth depending on your taste.

If you like heavy meat toppings like dongpo pork, go for the dongpo pork ramen; if you want to try something a bit different, the jambon ramen is a good choice. I liked splitting the two dishes between us so we could compare the flavors of each. I'd recommend ordering two dishes to share rather than sticking to just one. The jambon ramen had a clean, light taste~

## Bar seats for solo diners and the rest of the Menya Seoul menu

One of the best things about finding good food at I'Park Mall is being able to fit a meal into your shopping or movie route. Since Menya Seoul is on the 7th floor, it's easy to drop by when you get hungry while shopping in the mall, and given the nature of ramen, it also seems easy to eat alone. Sure enough, the restaurant has bar-style seating, which looked comfortable for solo dining.

![Menu board listing mala dongpo pork, mazesoba, and cold ramen](https://img.superchart.com/images/menya-seoul-yongsan-ipark-mall-ramen/menya-seoul-yongsan-ipark-mall-ramen-17-7cd6j-900.webp)

If you're a ramen fan, browsing the menu is fun in itself. Besides dongpo pork and jambon, there's mala dongpo pork, mazesoba, cold ramen, and more — I'd love to try other items next time.

This time we tried the dongpo pork ramen set and the jambon ramen, and since each had its own distinct character, if you're torn between menu choices, ordering both to share is a great option. If you're shopping or watching a movie in Yongsan and craving warm noodle soup, and looking for good food at I'Park Mall, give Menya Seoul a try.
