With the new semester coming up, the red hair I had been maintaining had become patchy, and every time I looked in the mirror it seemed messy. I knew I had to do something with my hair before school started. I wanted a clean, polished transformation, but I could not just go anywhere in case my hair got damaged, so I did my homework and found a hair salon in Jamsilsaenae.

They welcomed me so warmly that it felt less awkward even though I came alone^^ I had kept a red-toned color for about a year, and as my hair grew out, it looked increasingly messy. Before the coloring, every snip of my very grown-out hair felt so refreshing. I had only been tying it up because I could not style it every day, but now I think I can look forward to a neat college life with natural-looking layers.

Unlike my previous hair, which felt heavy and dangly, the line falling just below my shoulders felt incredibly comfortable and light. I have a lot of hair and it is naturally wavy, so if it is not shaped properly, it turns into a puffball. The length was just right, and Designer Se-hyeon took care of thinning it out; it had an easy, suitable college-student feel :)

## A Deep Black Finish That Was Not Too Dark

Once the color had absorbed well, I finished up with a refreshing shampoo in the massage chair and got ready for the final styling. Just as I wanted, the curls looked neat and the black was not overly dark, so it looked clean rather than dated.

After the blow-dry, I looked in the mirror and could not help smiling^^ The dated, multicolored red-toned curls were nowhere to be found; instead, a sophisticated, dimensional deep black had settled in beautifully. With the tidied ends and well-finished cut, my face shape stood out more and my hair looked healthier too.
