The weather was so nice we came out to Hanam Misa Gyeongjeong Park for a meal. This is Bokkeriu, a Hanam favorite where an ordinary day turns into a special memory. ## What is Bokkeriu? Quite a unique name, right? I agonized over what to order. (Conclusion: no need to agonize. Everything we ordered was delicious, and I think anything on the menu would have been.) Bread and kelp butter came out first. Plenty of fresh, crisp vegetables, and a generous amount of savory nuts. A lot of people aren't fans of eggplant, but roasted eggplant doesn't taste like what you'd expect. The moisture cooks out and it gets a slightly sweet flavor, without any strong flavor jumping out in your mouth. Eat it with your eyes closed and you might not even know it's eggplant. Plus, the light, savory ricotta was spread thick, so the smoothness was at max level. Really a great choice 👍🏾 True to a wood-fired pizza, the dough was puffy and chewy — a standout. Using broad, thin pasta noodles, the thick cream clung well and the noodles were chewy. It really came topped with three big shrimp 🦐. Paired with the plump, chewy shrimp, the flavor got upgraded even further. The sauce was salty-savory and moist and generous (I hate anything dry ^^), so I could enjoy it moist to the very last bite. The bowl is deep and fairly wide, so it doesn't look like a lot in photos, but with four of us eating four mains (plus the salad), we were completely full. Han River view + high-quality food + atmosphere + price!! The floor-to-ceiling windows run in a long L-shape, giving a refreshing view of the outside. For group gatherings or family events, booking and renting it out ahead of time might give it a nice private feel(?). Restrooms are located inside on the 2nd floor. ## Where to park at Bokkeriu > Hanam Starfield favorite pizza / Hanam Misa-ri favorite restaurant / Bokkeriu parking Bokkeriu occupies its own standalone building. Come around to the front and you get the Han River view. ## A Han River walk after the meal I'd recommend combining a great meal with a stroll along the Han River afterward, feeling the breeze. The wind was so refreshing, and the trees are big and lush enough to give plenty of shade. It was really nice to walk around at lunchtime too.
