So, lunch pick: here! Jogane Sotbap is in Beopsu, Haman, near Beopsu Elementary School! I wanted to eat it sooo badly~ 😋😋 Once we were seated, they first brought over the side dishes: buckwheat pancake, seasoned bean sprouts, cabbage wraps, japchae (stir-fried glass noodles), tofu kimchi, spicy stir-fried pork, doenjang stew, and more. The moment I took a spoonful of the doenjang stew at Jogane Sotbap, I thought, wow, why is it so refreshing and nutty? Then I realized it was clam doenjang soup~ Of course! 👍 The doenjang stew had lots of tofu and all kinds of vegetables, and it was heavenly spooned right over the rice! With all the accompanying dishes, every single banchan (side dish) was tasty, so my chopsticks kept darting everywhere. Wait, is ₩14,000 for this whole spread for real? The price is great and it tastes great too—what more could you ask for? How do they season everything so well? The side-dish selection was great, and neither the sotbap nor any of the accompanying dishes were overly seasoned, so I think it is somewhere older family members would enjoy too. Even on the day I visited, there were lots of local seniors and seniors traveling through!
