On a day when I was craving Indian food in Sillim, I visited India Darbar's Sillim branch. I ordered the SET C for two, and the table was set with chicken tikka masala, tandoori chicken, citrus-dressing salad, lassi, and plain naan. I added butter naan and garlic naan too, and when I saw the size of all that naan on the table, I had to laugh.

Before adding to the order, I thought that since I like naan, I could easily have two more kinds. But while eating, I was reminded that the set already came with plain naan.

## Finding India Darbar on the second floor of 309 Sillim-ro

India Darbar's Sillim branch is on the second floor of 309 Sillim-ro. It is next to Deungchon Kalguksu, so there was no need to go farther into an alley, and it was easy to locate the building even on my first visit.

## SET C for chicken tikka masala and tandoori chicken together

Rather than spending ages comparing the many curry names on the menu, I first decided what I wanted to eat that day. I wanted both chicken tikka masala and tandoori chicken rather than stopping at one curry, so I chose SET C. I also liked that lassi and plain naan were included, making the order easy to settle all at once.

Although the set included plain naan, I added butter naan and garlic naan. I like naan, so I wanted plenty to go with the curry. But the set included plain naan that day, and the extra naan was not small either. If you are planning to add naan to a set for two, it may be enough to see the standard spread first instead of adding several pieces at once from the start.

### Citrus-dressing salad and the full spread

The salad that arrived before the meal came with a citrus dressing. With several centerpieces on the table, including curry and tandoori chicken, I found myself having the salad between bites rather than finishing it all at once. Even after the mains arrived, having it at one side of the table helped keep the meal from feeling too heavy.

Once the set reached the table, I could see the curry, tandoori chicken, rice, naan, salad, and lassi all at once. Ordering each dish separately is nice too, but on a day when I already knew what I wanted, a set like this was convenient. Since I clearly wanted chicken tikka masala and tandoori chicken together, I could decide on an order without lingering over the menu.

With lassi included too, the whole meal was complete without choosing a separate drink. That left my extra order that day focused only on naan.

## Alternating chicken tikka masala with rice and naan

Chicken tikka masala was a good dish to alternate between rice and naan.

Rather than insisting on only one, I naturally moved between spoonfuls of rice and pieces of naan. A set like SET C, which comes with both rice and naan, takes away some of the pressure to choose just one way to eat when you are not used to ordering Indian food.

## Should you add naan to SET C?

But what I remembered most during the meal was ultimately the amount of extra naan. When I ordered butter naan and garlic naan, I had expected the fun of switching up the varieties

but in reality, the size and quantity of naan on the table caught my eye first. It was a welcome sight for someone who loves naan, but if it is your first order, it is worth keeping in mind that the set already includes plain naan.

Rather than cutting up all the naan at once, I divided it into portions as I ate. With several pieces stacked up, the amount left was right there in view, so I naturally paced the meal too.

Adding two varieties to a set that already included plain naan made for quite a generous spread. It would suit two people who want to eat lots of naan, but if you want a lighter meal, it is fine to be cautious with the extras.

Because tandoori chicken was included, the meal did not turn into a curry-only spread. Being able to eat different kinds of dishes together within the set felt like the most practical part of this order.

If you want to add naan to SET C, it is a good idea to think about the amount of plain naan first. If you want to try both varieties, adding one first and ordering more after seeing your pace also seems like a good approach.

After the meal, I looked around the dining room, where red walls, wooden tables, and ceiling lights came together. Looking up, I could also see colorful flag decorations and wall decor.

The SET C I had at India Darbar's Sillim branch suited a day when I wanted chicken tikka masala and tandoori chicken together. After the citrus-dressing salad, lassi, and plain naan were laid out, adding butter naan and garlic naan made the amount much more generous than I expected. It was easy to find on the second floor beside Deungchon Kalguksu, and if I ordered the same combination again, I think I would decide on naan after seeing the size of the standard set.
