Unlimited doenjang (soybean paste) stew refills, galchi-sokjeot (salted hairtail innards dip) and a grill that drains fat well stood out. I got off work early today, the weather was gorgeous, I was in a great mood, so dinner had to be meat! Hanmaeum Jeonguk Sikdang Bongdam has lots of tables, 3 private rooms and even a kids play room, so it suits company dinners and family get-togethers with children. We had booked, so the side dishes were already set out, and there were so many tasty ones. We ate the most of the pickled cabbage, ssambu (pickled radish wraps), corn salad and shredded scallion salad. There were lots of beef cuts and pork cuts, but the lamb was all sold out. The sides looked so good too!!! Even Jjapaguri (instant noodle mix)... mouth watering... It was packed with zucchini, potato and onion, and it was so delicious, T_T. The pork at Hanmaeum Jeonguk Sikdang Bongdam was rich, chewy and had no gamey smell at all. So good T_T. The meat was rich and chewy with no gamey smell at all. It was great too. It's lean, but rich and full of juice. I visited because it's a famously good-value BBQ place in Bongdam District 2, and the meat quality was great and the staff were so friendly that we had a lovely meal.
