It was bright and clean overall, and there was plenty of space between the seats, so it didn’t feel cramped. But Manager Jay, who consulted with me, explained that volume straightening is closer to a straightening service. I’m not really into hair that sits completely flat, so after the consultation I decided on a C-curl perm to tuck the ends inward. It was somewhat separated from the service area and had partition walls, so it felt much more private. After the C-curl perm, the ends curled naturally inward and the overall shape looked so much neater. I especially liked that the added layers meant the ends didn’t fall in one heavy block when I wore my hair down; from the side, they fell in natural layers. And something I unexpectedly loved was how it looked tied up! If you’re growing your hair out but are worried about ends that keep flipping out because of the in-between length, I think tidying the ends with a C-curl perm like I did can be one option instead of automatically cutting it all short.
