Today I went to Ryeowon Skin Care, the go-to spot for Nowon bridal care. I've been getting facial contouring with lymphatic massage at Kkeullime, a contouring specialty shop, but no matter how much decollete care I got, my collarbone, forearms, and dress line kept bothering me.

So I finally went to try the dress-line care I'd been curious about. It was definitely different — honestly the best massage experience in Nowon I've had... I already want to make Ryeowon Skin Care's dress-line care a regular part of my pre-wedding routine!

As soon as you walk in, you see a clean, tidy interior. The consultation area and the treatment rooms are clearly separated.

I started my consultation over a fragrant cup of tea. Since I've started my pre-wedding routine, I mentioned my particularly sensitive collarbone line, shoulder line, and forearms.

I mentioned I go to a contouring specialty shop, and since I'm also doing gym PT, my raised trapezius and shoulder blade area gets tense often. And that's how I found the best massage in Nowon.

The important part — pricing! Ryeowon, the go-to spot for Nowon bridal care, was reasonably priced compared to other places I've tried. Check the photo above for prices by program. Note that the member price is deducted from a pre-charged balance, while the regular price is the cash rate for one-time visitors. There's a 10% surcharge for card or bank transfer, so I paid ₩154,000, which is the dress-line regular price of ₩140,000 plus 10%.

There's the director and one staff therapist, two people total, and I didn't request anyone specific so I was matched with the staff therapist. Honestly I was already satisfied enough that I don't think requesting a specific therapist is necessary. I'd rather just spend that money on one more session...

And that tempting head spa! I'm seriously considering trying the scalp scaling to feel the therapist's hands for myself.

## How the dress-line care actually goes

Now for the main event. I was shown to a multi-room, and there was a treatment bed with a face cutout waiting — this was actually more comfortable than at Kkeullime. For some reason, lying face-down didn't give me that blood-rushing feeling at all; it was just comfortable.

I was there alone so they turned on a fan for me, but the room seems designed to be usable by couples too.

I stored my bag and valuables in the room and changed into a robe. You take off your bra entirely too — make sure to remove any necklaces or rings.

I put on the robe, lay down, and rang the bell. Then I waited quietly for the massage to begin — ready to find my missing neck and shave down that trapezius.

She quietly removes the robe and lowers the towel little by little as the treatment begins, so don't be startled.

### Step 1: Heat + stagnant-blood device treatment

First comes the device treatment, a mix of heat and cupping-like sensation — that trendy 'stagnant blood' care everyone talks about these days. She worked mainly on the areas I'd mentioned as tense, plus wherever she felt needed loosening. It didn't hurt despite how it looks — the warmth made my body melt a little in this first phase.

It's not bruising — it's more like stagnant-blood toxins. It doesn't hurt.

### Step 2: Hand massage, pure bliss

And now the real hand massage begins. This is genuinely heaven time... ★

Starting from the back, she carefully broke down every knot — the breast area, back, neck, trapezius, forearms, one by one. You can feel her years of experience and know-how in every touch.

It felt like a skin expert with 25 years of experience was sculpting me piece by piece. The relief was on another level. I'd been dealing with a migraine, and after this dress-line care, not only did my body lines get tidier — the headache disappeared too.

Once the back was done, it was time for the front. My trapezius already seemed a bit flatter, but from the front you could still clearly see the shortened-looking neck and the collarbone line buried behind it.

My shoulders have some mild asymmetry normally, and the shoulder blade area hurting plus the visibly uneven shoulder line was a real stress point for me.

Now for round two — collarbone, shoulder line, neck, trapezius, forearms. The back was done with cream I think, and the front with oil, and the citrus scent was so nice I was already getting sleepy.

(I was too deep in bliss to catch a photo.) She worked through the chest, armpit, and forearm lines once each, then returned to loosen my neck and trapezius, my main problem areas. You know that feeling — not the kind of pain where you have to grit your teeth, but the 'oh yes, right there, press harder' kind of satisfying pressure in exactly the right spot!

She alternated between right and left, working thoroughly and for a long time. It was a 60–70 minute session but it felt as thorough as two hours. My heavy body started feeling so much lighter, and I got wonderfully drowsy.

She used the strength of every single finger to dig into every corner, and I felt my whole clogged-up circulation just open right up. When she pressed the lymph nodes in my neck I almost teared up a little, but it felt like she was crushing every last bit of toxins out of me — and afterward I felt so refreshed.

Right up to the end she was working on the muscles along my neck. She said that area is where the lymph passes through, so loosening it really helps with facial slimming too. I even got a quick lesson on how to do it myself. (But let's be honest, I probably won't.)

Even while wiping off the oil at the end, her careful touch kept pressing and releasing.

## What changed after the treatment

This course focused intensively on the armpit, chest, forearm, and neck lines — exactly the areas that show when wearing a wedding dress — and I could feel my once-asymmetrical neck and trapezius line evening out. If I keep getting this regularly, I think beyond just the relief, it'll really refine my body line over time.
