Just got back from my last summer trip of the year — Pohang haha.

Snow crab was the one thing I absolutely had to eat in Pohang! There's so much good food there and so many things I wanted to try, but the crab was non-negotiable.

I visited Gallilli Daegae Hoe Sikdang (갈릴리대게회식당), famous in Pohang as a crab restaurant. Everyone kept saying the staff are super kind and the crab is delicious. Since I really wanted crab over sashimi this time, I think I chose well.

The crab prices were posted right outside the store, so it wasn't intimidating at all haha. Walked right in without any hesitation.

Wow, just look at how packed this tank is with crab... so fresh haha. Out of all the tanks on the crab street, this one seemed the fullest. Genuinely stuffed with crab!!

We were going to go for the crab set, but decided we'd rather just eat crab to our heart's content, so we ordered two crabs plus the banchan spread (₩5,000) for two!

The inside was genuinely huge. Even while we sat there, group after group kept pouring in. There was even a foreign tour group, which surprised me haha.

## What side dishes arrive while the crab steams

And then the gorgeous banchan spread! From corn cheese that kids love, to crab jang, conch, abalone, sea squirt — such a generous spread of delicious side dishes. It took a while for the crab to steam, but chatting away over banchan made the wait fly by. There was hoe-muchim (spicy raw fish salad) too, and horaegi squid.

A refreshing clam-mussel bean sprout soup came out too, so we could cleanse our palates between bites. The banchan spread here really delivers.

The two crabs we ordered arrived. Such a huge portion I wondered if we could even finish it together. It looked so good!! It was our first time coming just for crab alone, so we were 100% excited.

The meat yield was insane..!!! Every single leg was packed solid with meat, not a gap in sight. Someone mentioned crab prices go up once it gets colder, so I felt like we timed it well haha. The meat was so moist and full. We were so absorbed in picking apart the crab that we didn't say a word to each other — just focused on cracking shells. With that much meat inside, digging it out was genuinely fun.

### Seafood ramyeon to round out the meal

Once the crab was demolished, it's time for ramyeon!! Gotta start the carbs. Spicy broth and noodles, clean and refreshing!! I can never say no to seafood ramyeon haha. The mussels in it made it taste even more refreshing. It cut through any lingering crab smell and was so, so good haha.

## Crab roe fried rice, two bowls — one packed to go

And of course, you have to finish with crab roe fried rice, right!! We ordered two bowls but it was way too much, so we packed one to go. The owner kindly packed up even the crab shell fried rice for us. Everyone was so kind and the crab was so good that I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Pohang!
