## In short

Pork80 Jeju Airport Branch is a Jeju black pork grill restaurant at 37-1 Noyeon-ro in Jeju City, a short drive from Jeju Airport. Two diners ordered one 600g plate of nanchukmatdon (native Jeju black pork), which the staff grilled at the table and served with matcha salt and mel-jorim (braised anchovy sauce), plus a nonalcoholic Jeju Nouveau beer and a bottle of Hallasan soju. The banchan at Pork80 — especially the seasoned raw crab and mel-jorim — was good enough to order an extra bowl of rice.

It's a restaurant where you can get Jeju black pork all the way through Jeju fresh ribs and marinated ribs.

## Where Pork80 Jeju Airport Branch is, and what the room feels like

The seating is roomy and the tables are wide.

The place is definitely clean-looking — a bit more upscale than your average grill house, so it seemed like a good spot for company dinners or get-togethers too.

There are also tables with this kind of retro vibe.

There's a restroom inside, so it's convenient to use.

The origin is Jeju black pork!!! You can't skip black pork on Jeju, after all.

Every table comes set with dishes, utensils, and cups.

## Pork80's menu: what makes nanchukmatdon black pork different?

Please check the menu — there's Jeju black pork, white pork, and a good variety of side dishes and drinks. We ordered a plate of nanchukmatdon, native Jeju black pork. Since nanchukmatdon is different from what you get at a regular black pork place, I was even more excited about it.

![Table spread of various banchan at Pork80](https://img.superchart.com/images/pork80-jeju-airport-nanchuk-matdon-duo/pork80-jeju-airport-nanchuk-matdon-duo-12-rrx2a-900.webp)

## Banchan and drinks at Pork80: seasoned raw crab worth a bowl of rice

The side dishes at Pork80 Jeju Airport Branch are pretty varied — pickled perilla leaves, kimchi, seasoned bean sprouts, pickled onion, corn salad, scallion salad, and more.

They also give you chili peppers, garlic, and wasabi to eat with the meat.

Each person also got a small plate with ssamjang and matcha salt.

![A bottle of nonalcoholic beer Jeju Nouveau](https://img.superchart.com/images/pork80-jeju-airport-nanchuk-matdon-duo/pork80-jeju-airport-nanchuk-matdon-duo-13-126ix-900.webp)

And it would be a shame to eat meat without a drink, right? Since we were in Jeju, I wanted something Jeju-specific. I ordered a nonalcoholic beer called Jeju Nouveau. The taste was so similar to Jeju Wit Ale that it was hard to believe it was nonalcoholic.

![A bottle of Hallasan soju ordered at Pork80](https://img.superchart.com/images/pork80-jeju-airport-nanchuk-matdon-duo/pork80-jeju-airport-nanchuk-matdon-duo-14-ov295-900.webp)

We also ordered a bottle of Hallasan.

Then something extra showed up — seasoned raw crab, boom! Crab at a grill house?! And the fact that it's just a basic side dish was surprising given how good it was, so we immediately ordered a bowl of rice too.

There was also a guide laying out ways to eat the meat, so we tried it out in a few different ways.

## One 600g plate of nanchukmatdon, grilled by Pork80 staff

At last, the 600g plate of nanchukmatdon arrived — pork belly with the skin still on. The meat quality looked so fresh.

![A 600g plate of nanchukmatdon pork belly with skin on](https://img.superchart.com/images/pork80-jeju-airport-nanchuk-matdon-duo/pork80-jeju-airport-nanchuk-matdon-duo-17-18kxu-900.webp)

Since we ordered nanchukmatdon, a staff member grilled it for us, which made things much easier.

The fat and meat were evenly marbled, and it already looked savory. Ah, that gorgeous meat color.

And the mel-jorim (braised anchovy sauce) that came with it! In photos it looks similar to melljeot, but it actually comes in a stone bowl. There was a generous amount, with several big anchovies inside. This was honestly the real kicker — make sure to order a bowl of rice and mix it in.

The meat, diligently cooking away..!

The staff grilled everything beautifully for us.

They also kept grilling the scallions served alongside, soaked in the fat. Thanks to that, the smell of the meat grilling was even more mouthwatering.

The meat was about done. The first perfectly cooked piece was placed on our small plate, and after that the rest of the meat went onto a separate grill on top of the burner, which made it easy to eat.

That first, delicious-looking piece!

Look how nicely golden-brown the meat got.

## Matcha salt, mel-jorim, scallion salad: how we ate the black pork

Following the guide from earlier, I dipped the first piece in matcha salt. The subtle matcha aroma and the salty tang paired really well with the savory black pork.

Before long, more meat had finished grilling — they set the cooked pieces aside separately so they wouldn't burn.

This time I wrapped it with the mel-jorim sauce and grilled scallion. It's similar to melljeot but with even more umami, and the scallion flavor was really good too. I also mixed some into the bowl of rice we'd ordered for the crab, and it went really well with the rice.

Next up, scallion salad and perilla leaves! A well-known combo — no words needed.

## Is 600g of black pork enough for two at Pork80?

600 grams for two people... I underestimated it, but the portion turned out to be quite generous, so we got to enjoy it in different ways and eat until we were full! I'd recommend it as a black pork spot near Jeju Airport where you can eat well at a reasonable price.
