## In short

Central Site Hapjeong is a roastery and brewing café in an alley a one-minute walk from Hapjeong Station Exit 2 in Mapo, Seoul. After smelling the beans on offer, I picked the Colombia Quebraditas Geisha washed peach punch for a hand-drip and ordered a classic tiramisu alongside it. With two- and four-person tables indoors plus outdoor terrace seats, Central Site Hapjeong is an easy choice for specialty coffee in Seoul on a clear day.

I'd wanted to visit the Central Site café in Yeonnam-dong for a while — it's known for great coffee and a nice atmosphere — but since there's also a Central Site branch near Hapjeong Station, I decided to check out Central Site Hapjeong this time.

## How to find Central Site Hapjeong, and where to park

Central Site Hapjeong, a café near Hapjeong Station, sits about a one-minute walk down the alley to the right of Hapjeong Station Exit 2, so it's very convenient to reach by public transit. Parking isn't possible in the alley, so I'd recommend using the underground lot at the nearby Hapjeong Homeplus.

## Indoor tables and the outdoor terrace at Central Site Hapjeong

Inside Central Site Hapjeong, a café near Hapjeong Station, there were neatly arranged two- and four-person tables, plus a well set-up outdoor terrace. On a nice day like this, sitting outside with a coffee and taking your time seemed like a great idea.

## Choosing beans by aroma and ordering a hand-drip

I usually go for an Americano, but since Central Site is a roastery and brewing specialty café, I decided to order a hand-drip coffee this time.

Central Site had a wide variety of beans, and you could smell each one before ordering, which was a fun way to figure out your preference before choosing. Even if you don't know much about coffee beans, comparing the aromas yourself — or asking staff for a recommendation — is a nice way to pick.

## Three tiramisu flavours: classic, Lotus, brownie

For dessert there was tiramisu, which pairs well with coffee. The options were Classic, Lotus, and Brownie tiramisu, and I went with the Classic.

## What the Colombia Geisha washed peach punch tastes like

My coffee and dessert arrived. I'd chosen the Colombia Quebraditas Geisha washed peach punch bean, and the name alone sounded special, so I was curious how it would taste — it turned out to have a subtle fruity aroma. It was a bright, refreshing coffee, but not overly sour, with a clean finish and a gentle, appropriate sweetness lingering in the mouth. It was distinctly different from my usual Americano, so I'd recommend it if you like hand-drip coffee or want to try something a bit different.

## Classic tiramisu with the Geisha drip coffee

And now the tiramisu I ordered alongside the coffee! I heard Central Site's classic tiramisu, made with an authentic Italian recipe, is a steady bestseller — and it really was moist, with a soft texture I loved. The combination of the dark chocolate topping and the moist tiramisu was especially good. It wasn't overly sweet or bitter, just pleasantly sweet, and it went really well with the coffee.

## Is Central Site Hapjeong worth a visit?

Central Site Hapjeong, found near Hapjeong Station, had great accessibility thanks to its proximity to the station, and with both indoor seating and an outdoor terrace, it looked like a great spot to visit on a nice day. Best of all, true to its identity as a roastery and brewing specialty café, I liked being able to smell a variety of beans myself and choose one that fit my taste. If you enjoy hand-drip or specialty coffee, I'd recommend giving Central Site Hapjeong, a café near Hapjeong Station, a visit.
