I had a dinner plan in Seongsu and was looking around for where to go when I found Out of Order! I wanted to go somewhere a bit different from your average Western restaurant, and the moment I saw the menu full of fusion dishes using Korean ingredients, I knew this was the place haha. It's pretty close to Seongsu Station, and more than anything, the food isn't your everyday stuff, so it seemed like a great spot for a date or a blind date. Actual reviews mention it a lot as a place for blind dates or wedding-invite gatherings too. Eating just the meat could get a bit heavy, but the scallion aroma cuts through the richness, so I kept going back for more. I especially liked that it had barley in it, which gave it a livelier texture than regular rice risotto. The meat was tender, with a subtle smoky char on the outside, and the ssamjang aioli made it taste much nuttier and more Korean than a typical steak sauce. Eating it with the baek-kimchi in between bites cleaned up my palate, so I never got tired of it. The lighting is soft overall and there are plants scattered around, giving it a chic feel without being overly formal.
