Seoul Station sandwich shop's pistachio tofu cream cheese baguette

In short

Dance Dance Dance Seoul Station is a baguette sandwich shop on basement level 3 of Grand Central at Seoul Station in Jung-gu, Seoul. With a gap before an exhibition after a friend overslept, the writer had a solo late brunch of the pistachio tofu cream cheese baguette (11,400 won) and an Americano (4,500 won), and the crisp, chewy baguette impressed even more than the cream cheese. For a baguette sandwich brunch near Seoul Station, Dance Dance Dance Seoul Station is worth a stop.

My friend overslept before our exhibition, which left me with a big gap of free time. While looking for a place to sit solo, I noticed that Dance Dance Dance, a well-loved Seoul Station sandwich spot, is in the basement of the exhibition building, so I went for a late brunch. I had no big expectations, but the baguette was so good my eyes went wide the whole time. :)

Area around the Grand Central building at Seoul Station

Seoul Station on a weekend... so many people that I got a little dizzy. Hahaha

Entrance to Dance Dance Dance on B3 of Grand Central

It's right next to the elevator on B3 of Grand Central, so it's easy to find. The interior is modern and stylish in a dark tone, but

Plot twist! The standing sign is this cute. The muscle cat is deadly... hahahahahaha

Weekend atmosphere at Dance Dance Dance Seoul Station

It was already busy on the weekend, but the mood was quiet overall, which I liked. Am I the only one who didn't know this was such a great Seoul Station sandwich place?

The lights hang at different heights, which feels classy and adds a unique touch to the space.

Dance Dance Dance menu and price range

There's a wide variety of sandwiches, and the prices are reasonable considering Seoul Station prices.

Lineup of baguette and ciabatta sandwiches

The baguette is seriously delicious. But I'm curious about the ciabatta sandwiches too. T_T Next time!

The muscle cat shows up on the takeout containers too. Maybe it's a character based on the owner? The more I look, the hipper it is.

Checked the notices too. Done.

How does the pistachio tofu cream cheese baguette taste?

My order that day: the pistachio tofu cream cheese baguette (₩11,400) and an Americano (₩4,500).

Pistachio tofu cream cheese baguette and an Americano

Tofu cream cheese? I'd never seen it before, but I had a feeling. Oh, this is going to be good. And with pistachio? This must be crazy. Hahahahahaha

And my bread-loving instincts were right. The tofu cream cheese was as good as I expected, and the baguette was even better than I expected.

Baguette sandwich filled with green pistachio cream

Ah, but... hahahaha, green isn't exactly an appetizing color, so it doesn't look that tasty in photos, but it's really delicious. Truly...

A baguette crisp enough that it won't scrape the roof of your mouth

The baguette's crust isn't hard, it's crisp. Honestly, I've never had such a crisp baguette in my life. It doesn't scrape the roof of your mouth because it's not hard, it's truly crisp!

Cross-section of a chewy baguette with small holes

And the inside is so chewy. It's well fermented, with lots of little holes, and the more you chew, the more you taste the baguette's subtle sweetness.

Baguette filling generously packed with tofu cream cheese

It's packed with cream cheese too. The tofu flavor was stronger than I expected and nutty, and with the sweetness of the pistachio and the mild saltiness of the cream cheese, the balance was great. >_<

Is the Dance Dance Dance Americano acidic?

Americano at Dance Dance Dance Seoul Station

The Dance Dance Dance Americano (₩4,500) used nutty beans with almost no acidity, and even as someone who likes acidic coffee, I thought it was good.

Nutty Americano served next to a sandwich

A taste that shouldn't divide people! Since most of the sandwiches are mildly salty, a nutty Americano seems especially well matched.

Summary: what Dance Dance Dance Seoul Station is like

  • A place with a wide range of sandwiches, from popular picks like ham and cheese and tuna to unique ones like the tofu cream baguette and the matcha choco baguette
  • A place where the baguette itself tastes so good that it should go well with any filling
