Even from outside, I could see a huge variety on display — hanbok, Gaehwagi-era (Korea's early modern period) costumes, school uniforms, and more!

Inside the shop, everything from pastel tones to deep colors, plus hanbok with gold-foil detailing and embroidery, was ready to go.

One corner had Gaehwagi/Gyeongseong-era outfits and school uniforms, plus historical-drama-style costumes that let you dress like royalty. There were even hats and bags on display, so you could completely change the mood depending on your taste. I originally came just for hanbok, but the other costumes were so pretty I actually hesitated for a moment haha.

We put our own clothes and belongings all together into a large bag they lent us, then placed it in an external locker. They assigned us a specific locker number, so we could walk around the hanok village carrying just a small bag. Not having to deal with our stuff while taking photos was quite convenient too.

We paid for the 2-hour rental and wandered around Gyeonggijeon Shrine and Jeondong Cathedral taking photos. In between, we stopped at a café for drinks, and ended up filling almost the full two hours. Trying hanbok in Jeonju Hanok Village made even the moments of walking past hanok houses and stone walls feel like part of the memory, unlike traveling in regular clothes.
