## Why breakfast bread led to Chamsae Bori Sikppang in Bucheon

Lately I've been feeling like I should actually eat breakfast for my health. So I was thinking about what to eat, and bread is such an easy option, right? While looking for bread that's good for you, I found a place that won the grand prize on SBS's Life's Masters and was picked as Korea's number one bread nationwide, and they say they only use healthy ingredients, so I went to check it out.

This place was about a 10-minute walk from Bucheon Station. Since it's always so popular that it sells out early, I heard, I made sure to visit at 11am.

## The five promises written outside the shop

Looking closely, they had five promises listed outside. First, as I mentioned, it's the number one bread from Life's Masters. Second, it apparently has 10 times more dietary fiber than rice. Third, it goes through 70 hours of silent fermentation. Fourth, they don't use any margarine at all. And it's also said to keep you feeling full 30-40% longer.

And I liked that they posted the prices outside so you could check them beforehand.

I went inside feeling excited, and thankfully there was still bread left, haha.

The moment I walked in, a nutty smell filled the air and I was so happy.

First I spotted the Daesang chapbori that a master baker raved about.

I also saw the grain chapbori, the shop's recommended number two pick.

## Tasting the samples before choosing a loaf

The great thing about this place is that they have samples, so you can taste before you buy. After trying it, the bread itself was tasty, but honestly the mascarpone milk cream was pure art. And whenever the samples ran out, they'd refill them right away so everyone could get a taste, which I really liked.

Out of everything, I bought one Daesang chapbori, one grain chapbori, and two rye chapbori loaves, and headed home excitedly.

As soon as I got home, I took the bread out, and since it was freshly baked, the nutty smell was so nice.

Time for the real tasting, right? First up is the Daesang chapbori loaf.

When I took it out, it was already sliced nicely for eating.

I finally took a bite and the bread was incredibly moist and delicious. Honestly, since it's barley bread, I didn't expect it to be moist, but it really was. This place truly deserves its reputation as a Bucheon bakery hotspot.

## Grain chapbori loaf: the nuttiest of the three

Second up is the grain chapbori loaf.

This one was also sliced nicely for eating.

I took a bite and the barley flavor came through more strongly, with a burst of nuttiness. It was also moist, so easy to eat.

## Rye chapbori loaf: easy to tear and eat

Last is the rye chapbori loaf.

This one was smaller than the other loaves, so it was cheaper.

It wasn't sliced, so it was the kind of bread you tear off pieces to eat.

I took a bite with high expectations, and it had a nice chew along with plenty of nuttiness, so delicious. Once I started tearing off pieces, I ended up finishing it in no time. I really felt like I'd found the right place. My husband ate it with me too, saying the bread here was genuinely delicious and telling me to buy more next time.
