Hi, this is Lede! I'd been craving meat for a while so I went to Manpo Garden, a meat restaurant in Go-eup, Yangju!

It's a hanwoo (Korean beef) and pork specialty restaurant, so there's no gamey smell, the quality is great, the portions are generous, and there are plenty of side dishes — plus they give you one free naengmyeon (cold noodles) per person, so it's a great value spot in Yangju!! I'd definitely go back, and it's a great place to bring my parents too~

There's a parking lot right in front of the restaurant and it's really spacious~ It's a certified hanwoo specialty store, and when I went in I found the livestock cooperative office is actually attached to the restaurant!

At the entrance there's a coffee machine, an instant coffee machine, an ice cream machine, ice cups for iced americanos, a meat case where you can buy meat separately, and even rice puffs for the ppeong-seukeurim (puffed rice ice cream) dessert!

There's candy and dental floss at the counter too — already feels generous, right?? The inside of the restaurant is also really spacious and clean!

The seats are really spacious and the tables are set well apart, right?? We came around 4pm on a weekday, and since there's no break time we got in right away!

Drinks and alcohol weren't on the menu board so I photographed them separately from the tablet! Sometimes the prices shown on Naver differ from what's actually in the store, but the meat, side dish, and meal prices were the same here!

## Three servings of handmade pork galbi and what comes with it

We ordered one mul-naengmyeon and one bibim-naengmyeon, and for meat, three servings of handmade pork galbi!!! When I saw the three servings I thought, whoa, that's a lot?! These days a lot of places call something '3 servings' when it's really more like 2, but this was genuinely 3 servings!

There were so many side dishes and the plating was so neat, like coming for a full Korean course meal — a Yangju restaurant that makes you happy from the plating alone.

## The free Hamhung-style naengmyeon, made in house

They said both the mul-naengmyeon and bibim-naengmyeon were free, and I figured they'd just use some random store-bought noodles, but no — this is actually a Hamhung-style naengmyeon specialty shop where the noodles are made in-house at Manpo Garden!!

They make the broth themselves and pull the noodles fresh the moment you order, so the noodles have great texture and the portion is generous!! Both the mul-naengmyeon and bibim-naengmyeon were delicious, so I recommend both haha

## Fruit-marinated galbi over charcoal: how it tastes

The galbi (short ribs) marinade is packed with fruit, so it's healthy and not overpowering! But does that mean it's bland? Not at all!!! The aftertaste is clean, with a sweet-salty-tangy balance that has you thinking about it even after you get home!

While the galbi was grilling, we started on the yukhoe (beef tartare) and yukjeon (pan-fried beef) that came as part of the basic table setting — in this era of high prices, where else do you get yukjeon and yukhoe included for free? T_T Genuinely generous, right?!

Fresh raw meat meets top-quality charcoal — a perfect pork galbi! It's 100% real pork rib meat, not tough at all, tender, and completely free of any gamey smell!

I'm usually someone who doesn't really notice a 'charcoal flavor' — to me it just tastes burnt? But here you can really feel that they use good-quality charcoal — no flare-ups, and the smoky aroma is so subtle it just elevates the flavor of the meat!!!

It's delicious with rice, and delicious with naengmyeon too!! The rice was fluffy and so tasty that you absolutely have to get a bowl — eating it with the galbi is pure bliss T_T The rice was so good I even shared half of mine with my partner lol — Koreans sharing good food, as usual lol

## 60,000 won for three servings, dessert ppeong-seukeurim included

Since it's Hamhung-style naengmyeon, the noodles don't get soggy even as time passes, so we could eat at a relaxed pace! And of course, you have to finish with ppeong-seukeurim, right? haha The dessert ice cream is free too, the food was beautifully presented, and eating this much for around ₩60,000 is genuinely great value — these days you'll easily spend ₩100,000 at most meat restaurants, so this is perfect for a family meal out~~!

We left after putting ice cream on the puffed rice for ppeong-seukeurim haha. The puffed rice itself is the bowl, so there's zero waste~ It's a butcher-style restaurant using only top-grade, cooperative-certified hanwoo, so the meat quality is great, the price is reasonable, there are plenty of side dishes — a great-value Yangju restaurant, Manpo Garden, highly recommended!
