Soul Waite Tarot Cards is a product planned and produced by Jeong Hoedo. Its 36-page, full-color guidebook comes with a purchase, making tarot easier to learn and nice for checking my daily fortune, too. There were more days than I expected when it seemed accurate just for fun, haha. I started for fun, but it made me want to learn properly—so let me introduce this premium tarot deck that I needed for learning tarot with Jeong Hoedo.

Soul Waite Tarot Cards was planned and produced directly by Jeong Hoedo, described as one of Korea’s top tarot masters. The clean, modern colors feel nice to the touch, and the cards are sturdy enough for long-term use. ## The storage box and guidebook

Even the storage box looked luxurious, and this premium deck seemed like good value since it would be easy to keep away when not in use. I opened the lid right away to see whether it would really be convenient to use and what the design and colors were like.

When I opened the box, there were 78 tarot cards and a guidebook. The first time I read the guidebook, I had no idea how I was supposed to interpret them, but after reading tarot every day, I gradually became able to make my own interpretations.

## How a beginner can read tarot cards every day

The backs do not show which side is up. I hear the cards should be interpreted differently depending on their orientation, but I’m still a beginner who is learning, so for now I use them without worrying about direction.

They say people are creatures of habit. At first I fumbled when spreading the tarot cards and found them hard to fan out, but the more I used them, the better they sat in my hands. The Soul Waite Tarot Cards I am using are said to be a 21st-century re-creation of the Rider-Waite cards, which Arthur Edward Waite planned and made in 1909, more than 100 years ago.

After studying a little by watching various videos, I learned that you should choose tarot cards with your left hand, so I carefully picked three cards.

It is just for fun, but it is still my fortune for the day, so I carefully chose three cards, turned them over, and checked what had come up. It is nice when someone reads tarot for you, but because I can read it myself, I decided I should learn tarot.

## The card material and how they felt in daily use

The clean, modern-colored cards are made with premium imported paper from Germany, so they are durable, have a good grip, and seem good for long-term use because they do not tear easily. I was reading yesterday’s fortune, and the card did not somehow look very promising, but it turned out to be a better card than I expected. That made me happy all day yesterday.

I think that after using them many times, I might be able to interpret them without the guidebook. For now I need the guidebook to read tarot, but while finding cards took a long time at first, daily use means I can now find them quickly. Soul Waite Tarot Cards has 80 cards in total: 22 Major Arcana cards, 56 Minor Arcana cards, and 2 blank cards.

## If you want to learn tarot properly

If you want to learn properly rather than read for fun every day like I do, you can take classes with Jeong Hoedo, described as one of Korea’s top tarot masters. Apparently, you can find them through the Korea Soul Tarot Association cafe. I read tarot every day while believing in my own luck and that I am destined for things to go well. Beginners can enjoy it for fun, and Soul Class offers lessons from the basics through practical study, with discounts as well, so I should think about it a little more and pay to learn. They also run daily case studies for members, and apparently you can apply for the Level 3 Soul Tarot Counselor certificate. I’ll take Jeong Hoedo’s classes through Soul Class and become an expert, too!
