Hi everyone! My husband and I just got back from a trip to Jeonju. We stopped at this restaurant while leisurely wandering around Hanok Village, and the prices were so reasonable and the food was genuinely excellent! It totally won over both our tastes, so I really wanted to share it with you. Here's the story of a satisfying, hearty meal we both loved.

## Where to park for mulgalbi near Jeonju Hanok Village

Hanok Maeul Mulgalbi has its own dedicated parking space right in front, and it's free. Parking is always a worry in Hanok Village since it's such a busy area, but here there's a private lot right at the restaurant's door!

Thanks to that, we had zero parking stress and could just enjoy the free lot.

The sky was beautiful, and so was the restaurant — really stylish. The path leading into the restaurant was nicely done too.

There was a sign out front advertising the mulgalbi and yukjeon as the place to be.

## What the window seats look out on along Dongmun-gil

From the window seats at Hanok Maeul Mulgalbi, you get an unobstructed view of the Dongmun-gil street scene. The view from inside the restaurant was really pretty.

The restaurant looked pretty spacious — there were outdoor tables as well as indoor tables.

Since we had our dog with us, we tied her up near the front and took a window seat ^^

We ordered the galbi hot pot set for ₩22,000. As soon as we sat down, the banchan (side dishes) arrived.

The side dishes were genuinely delicious — being in Jeolla-do, the food was definitely tasty.

## What comes with the 22,000 won galbi hot pot set

The ₩22,000 galbi hot pot set comes with both mulgalbi and yukjeon. They brought out a generous serving of the mulgalbi.

Like bulgogi, it came with mushrooms, scallions, glass noodles, and whole bean sprouts alongside the galbi. I expected it to be swimming in broth, but there was barely any visible.

The seasoned meat sat on top of the bean sprouts.

The yukjeon came out right away too. The table was absolutely full. It had a totally different feel from Gyeongsang-style yukjeon — this was distinctly Jeolla-style.

The portion was genuinely huge for two people.

Looking at these photos makes me want to eat it again. In Songdo, a meal like this would probably run over ₩50,000 — the price here was seriously kind ^^

Once the vegetable broth was added and it started bubbling away, it truly became mulgalbi ('water galbi').

Once everything looked cooked through, we cut it up with scissors and ate it with the vegetables — genuinely delicious. With so many vegetables, it was even better eaten together.

## Is Hanok Maeul Mulgalbi worth it on a Jeonju trip?

Hanok Maeul Mulgalbi in Jeonju has its own parking lot right out front, so we could visit without any parking worries, and the pretty exterior and street view put us in a good mood even before the meal. The signature galbi hot pot set came generously loaded with mulgalbi, Jeolla-style yukjeon, and tasty banchan — both the look and the composition were excellent.

As it kept simmering, the fresh vegetable broth infused the pot with more and more savory flavor, and the combination of mulgalbi and vegetables was truly delicious. Compared to Songdo prices, this felt surprisingly affordable, and we're recommending it as a great-value restaurant in Jeonju Hanok Village that left both of us very satisfied.
