For dumpling hot pot in Cheonan, I went to Omi Omi Handmade Dumpling Hot Pot & Kudzu Naengmyeon Sono Bell Main Branch. Even on a weekday it was packed. I guess people come here to eat big because it's such good value. This place gives you not just ramyeon noodle and sujebi refills but even a finishing bowl of cold noodles, so it felt surprising and really filling.

It's just a 3-minute drive from Sono Bell and also close to the Independence Hall of Korea, so it's a great stop if you're out on a family outing. Parking was easy too, since there's a wide lot right in front of the restaurant.

The place was bigger than I expected, and even on a weekday there were quite a few customers. They also do takeout and delivery.

What's really unique about this place is that you can get unlimited refills of ramyeon noodles and sujebi so you can eat more heartily than at other spots — it's such a neat setup. There were three staff members on hand who kindly explained everything.

Here's the menu. True to being a Cheonan hot pot specialty restaurant, the main dishes are dumpling hot pot and tripe hand-dumpling hot pot, and you can choose between spicy or mild — I went with mild.

There was a notice board with various announcements, and I noticed they also give you cold noodles as dessert — wow, this place is such a great deal. They also sell for takeout, so you can just order and eat on your own.

## Steamed dumplings and side dishes at Omi Omi

While waiting after ordering the hot pot for two, they first brought out four steamed dumplings. Since they're handmade, they were pretty big.

Inside the dumplings there was all sorts of vegetables and meat packed generously. The side dishes were also plentiful — white kimchi, pickled peppers, kimchi, and macaroni salad.

I personally preferred the meat dumplings more. With that thick skin packed full of stuff, I thought they'd be even better eaten in winter.

It had a somewhat healthy taste, and I could really tell that handmade dumplings are different.

## Omi Omi's mild mandu hot pot for two

They didn't skimp on ingredients at all — meat, vegetables, dumplings, even shrimp, all piled generously. The vegetables especially were so plentiful it looked delicious.

I think there's nothing quite like hot pot for eating vegetables deliciously. Plus, with the deep flavors of meat, vegetables, and shrimp seeping into the plain broth, the soup can't help but taste amazing.

As it boiled away, the vegetables wilted down and sank into the pot. The sweet pumpkin and other vegetables kept boiling and releasing their sweetness.

With the broth bubbling away, it was definitely piping hot — I thought this would be great for warming up cheaply and comfortably as the cold winter approaches.

I put the sujebi in and kept eating the other ingredients too. I'm a vegetable person, so I dug into the vegetables enthusiastically.

There were glass noodles in abundance too, making it a hearty Cheonan hot pot dish.

Once the sujebi is nearly cooked, you just scoop it out and eat — since we tore it and made it ourselves, my kid loved it, and I found it fun too, so I kept tearing off pieces to eat. There were disposable gloves too, so it was easy to handle.

For my kid, I scooped out just the broth and meat separately. My child loves hot broth, so I gave it along with rice.

### Cold buckwheat noodles for dessert

Last comes the cold noodles for dessert — my husband doesn't really like noodles so he skipped it. I ate it alone, and as a spicy-cool finish it was just the right amount for a couple of bites. If you like it, you could order a full-size bowl of cold noodles too.
