## In short

Café Buajang is a wood-toned dessert café in Minrak-dong, Suyeong, Busan, near Gwangalli Beach. Its white exterior and big windows lead into a space filled with wall art, knitted animal figures and a display of colorful yarn, more like a small gallery than a typical café, and the visit included an americano, strawberry cream latte, pink lemon tea and a berry-berry cheesecake. It's a place better suited to lingering and looking around than just grabbing a drink and leaving.

## What makes it different from the usual Gwangalli café

Gwangalli has so many pretty cafés, but this one had a slightly different vibe from what you'd typically find. Even the exterior had a distinct feel, and once inside, the space was bigger than expected, with little objects and artworks scattered around that were fun to look at one by one. So personally, I felt this was less a café you just grab coffee at and leave, and more a place to wander around and spend some leisurely time.

When I first arrived, the white exterior and big windows caught my eye — they matched the green plants around the entrance so well that I ended up taking photos right from the front. Since the weather was nice that day, the blue sky and the café's exterior together made it even prettier.

## Inside, filled with knit crafts and artwork

Stepping inside the café had a completely different feel from the exterior.

Overall it used a lot of wood tones, and beyond the tables and chairs, plants and little objects were placed everywhere. But what stuck with me most were the cute little artworks and objects tucked around the café! There were paintings on the walls, knitted animal-shaped decorations, and even a space displaying colorful skeins of yarn — I ended up examining each one.

Personally, when I first walked in, it felt like a small museum or exhibition space had been designed as a café.

I liked that the interior was clean but not overly uniform, and each corner had a slightly different mood, so you'd probably get a different feeling depending on where you sat. It seemed like a good spot for quiet conversation or spending time taking photos.

So if you're looking for a slightly different café for a Gwangalli date, this seems worth a visit at least once.

## Americano, strawberry cream latte, pink lemon tea

On this visit we ordered an americano, strawberry cream latte, pink lemon tea, and berry-berry cheesecake for dessert.

![Three drinks: americano, strawberry cream latte, and pink lemon tea](https://img.superchart.com/images/cafe-buajang-gwangalli-knit-art-space/cafe-buajang-gwangalli-knit-art-space-10-1wb0p-900.webp)

Once the drinks came out one by one, the range of colors made them great for photos. The pink lemon tea especially lived up to its name, with a soft pink hue that looked lovely, and the strawberry cream latte with its cream topping was also nice to look at. With the americano lined up alongside, it was easy for each of us to pick a drink that matched our taste.

## Berry-berry cheesecake, with a chewy texture as the highlight

And then the berry-berry cheesecake we ordered for dessert!

![Berry-berry cheesecake topped with berry sauce](https://img.superchart.com/images/cafe-buajang-gwangalli-knit-art-space/cafe-buajang-gwangalli-knit-art-space-11-e81qs-815.webp)

It was topped generously with a berry sauce, with soft cheesecake inside, and what I liked most as I ate was the crunchy, cookie-like texture layered inside.

The cheesecake wasn't just soft all the way through — having that chewy texture mixed in made it surprisingly fun. I tend to like it when desserts have varying textures like this, so I enjoyed it a lot. Chatting away while enjoying the sweet dessert and drinks, the time flew by 🫐🍰

## To sum up

This wasn't just about drinks and dessert — there was real fun in simply looking around the café space itself. The warm wood-toned atmosphere blended with the artworks, knit crafts and plants scattered throughout gave it a feel quite different from a typical café. The spacious, clean interior in particular made it a comfortable place to sit and relax, and there were plenty of photo-worthy spots throughout.

If you're tired of the same-old café vibe every time you go on a date in Gwangalli, a place like this might be a nice change. If you're searching for a Gwangalli date spot, a Gwangalli dessert café, or a café in Minrak-dong, Busan, Café Buajang is worth checking out.
