Maybe because the weather has suddenly turned cooler lately, I kept craving something with a steaming-hot broth. I made dinner plans near Godeok Station with a friend I had not seen in a while, and my friend recommended Myeon Sikdang Godeok Station Branch, which has apparently been popular lately, so we headed straight there.

From ramen to soba, udon, and katsu, the menu was so varied that it was great for trying a little of everything. My friend and I ordered a few things to share.

## A comfortable interior with floor-to-ceiling windows and warm wood tones

![Myeon Sikdang interior visible through floor-to-ceiling windows](https://img.superchart.com/images/godeok-ebidonkotsu-ramen-myeonsikdang/godeok-ebidonkotsu-ramen-myeonsikdang-03-25ydm-966.webp)

When we arrived, the floor-to-ceiling glass made the whole interior visible. The sign was neat, and menu posters by the entrance made it easy to see which dishes were popular at a glance. Inside, the wood-tone interior and soft lighting felt cozy. It had the kind of atmosphere where anyone, young or old, could walk in comfortably. There was plenty of space between tables, and the entire restaurant was tidy, making it a really pleasant place to eat.

The open kitchen toward the back let us see the cooking process, and seeing how hygienically everything was prepared made me trust it even more. It was a weekday evening, yet customers kept coming in, so I could see why it feels like such a popular spot around Godeok Station these days.

## Ramen and mozzarella cheese katsu chosen at the kiosk

Orders are placed at the kiosk by the entrance. There were so many choices—ramen, rice noodles, soba, udon, and katsu—that we spent quite a while deciding. Looking closely at the menu, it was organized like this:

After some deliberation, we ordered three things: ebi tonkotsu ramen (₩10,900), spicy tonkotsu ramen (₩9,400), and mozzarella cheese katsu, 2 pieces (₩5,900). The total for two came to about ₩26,200, or around ₩13,000 per person. Considering we had ramen plus a side dish, I thought it was reasonably priced.

While waiting at our table, I noticed that the counter clearly displayed the Wi-Fi details and restroom location, which was convenient. One ramen and one katsu felt like just the right combination, so I would recommend it to anyone visiting as a pair.

## The difference between rich tonkotsu broth and spicy ramen

![Ordered ramen and cheese katsu](https://img.superchart.com/images/godeok-ebidonkotsu-ramen-myeonsikdang/godeok-ebidonkotsu-ramen-myeonsikdang-08-xkmnp-966.webp)

When the food arrived, it looked delicious right away. The colors of the bowls and toppings were so pretty that we took photos before digging in. First, the ebi tonkotsu ramen looked especially impressive, topped with a creamy white tonkotsu broth, a soft-boiled egg, chashu pork, and fried shrimp.

A spoonful of the broth was rich without being heavy, with a deep savory flavor that kept me reaching for more. The noodles had a satisfyingly firm bite too, making them easy to slurp up. The spicy tonkotsu ramen was the version with added heat, but it was not aggressively spicy—more of a savory, flavorful heat that was easy to enjoy.

The portions were more generous than expected, so even shared between two people, they were filling. The mozzarella cheese katsu we ordered as a side was crisp outside, with cheese stretching wonderfully from the inside. It was so good that I was genuinely glad we ordered it. Paired with the ramen broth, it cut through the richness and made for a combination I kept reaching for. The savory side dishes from the self-service bar went well with the ramen too!

## Table seating, bar seats, and the self-service bar

![Table seating at Myeon Sikdang](https://img.superchart.com/images/godeok-ebidonkotsu-ramen-myeonsikdang/godeok-ebidonkotsu-ramen-myeonsikdang-13-twcef-966.webp)

There were several seating options, including four-person tables and seats by the window, so it was easy to choose according to your group size. Since my friend and I were a pair, we sat at a four-person table and had plenty of room.

There were also bar-style solo seats in front of the kitchen, which looked perfectly fine for eating alone. The self-service bar was well stocked, so you could help yourself to hot or cold drinks, small plates, danmuji (pickled radish), and more.

The restaurant was not overly loud, with just the right amount of buzz, so it worked equally well for chatting with a friend or having a quiet meal alone. The layout was straightforward too, making everything from ordering to returning your tray easy and comfortable.

## Soba and udon choices beyond ramen

I think the biggest advantage of Myeon Sikdang Godeok Station Branch is that you can choose whatever suits your taste—from ramen, soba, and udon to katsu—all in one place. It is a ramen spot that also does katsu well, so next time I definitely want to try the soba. In a season like this, as the weather turns chilly, I think I will especially crave the hot tonkotsu ramen, while the cold soba would make a great reason to return in summer.

![Receipt review event notice on the table](https://img.superchart.com/images/godeok-ebidonkotsu-ramen-myeonsikdang/godeok-ebidonkotsu-ramen-myeonsikdang-18-11nyc-966.webp)

A sticker on the table mentioned an event that gives you a service item for writing a receipt review. It is a small thing, but checking out little events like that is part of the fun of visiting, I think.

## Hours and a few things to know before visiting

Hours are 10:30 AM to 8:30 PM. I recommend checking with the restaurant before visiting for break times or last-order details. It is within walking distance of Godeok Station, so it is easy to reach by public transit. Orders are placed by kiosk, and takeout and delivery are available, so you can use whichever option suits your situation.

When we visited, we were seated immediately without waiting, but there may be a line during meal times, so keep that in mind. The broth was rich, the noodle texture was great, and above all, the mozzarella cheese katsu was much better than I expected, making this a very satisfying visit. Next time, I am definitely planning to try the soba and udon too.
