## A hip, modern salon and waiting service

The hip, modern atmosphere hit me the moment I walked in, and I loved it. The interior felt clean and polished throughout.

The waiting area in particular was stylishly finished with brown-toned tiles, so it felt more like I’d walked into a pretty café than a salon.

While you sit and wait for a moment, a staff member kindly brings you tea. They had quite a nice range of drinks ready too.

I asked for an iced Americano. Soon, they brought out the coffee on a lovely tray, along with sweet little snacks like mini yakgwa (Korean honey cookies). Such thoughtful service before the appointment even starts—an absolute touching point!

## Consultation for a vintage texture perm on short hair

The person about to bring my lifeless hair back to life today was the senior designer!

After putting on a gown, I sat in front of the mirror for a proper one-on-one consultation. The designer asked in great detail about how I usually dress and the kind of vibe I wanted. Rather than something too common, I said I wanted a slightly free-spirited yet trendy feel.

The design I had in mind was a vintage perm, but the designer said my hair was just a little too short for a classic version ㅠ After talking it through, we decided to tidy the sides neatly and create natural texture on top to bring out that vintage charm.

## The perm process, from shampoo to heat treatment

Once the perm began in earnest, we started with shampooing. Naturally, the shampoo area is separate, and the staff member personally handled everything in detail, from checking the water temperature to applying treatment. Their touch was so gentle and relaxing~

Next, they applied the solution and carefully began winding the perm rods. The senior designer adjusted the tension just right and wrapped the rods with impressive skill and speed. Watching them work so carefully through the mirror made me feel oddly reassured, haha.

While waiting during the heat treatment after all the rods were in, I could wait in another lounge area. I just hung out on my phone. Sipping the coffee they had brought earlier and scrolling on my phone made the time fly by.

When the time was up, I headed back to the shampoo room to rinse out the perm solution. This time they even gave me a wonderfully refreshing scalp massage—was this paradise? It was a true healing moment. Then, finally, it was time to come out after shampooing and dry my hair! Even with just a light towel-dry, that free-spirited, hip vintage-perm feeling was already starting to show.

## Easy men’s perm styling to do on your own

This is how it looked after the designer dried it. The designer generously shared handy styling tips so I could easily set it myself at home in the morning. Just roughly towel-dry it, then lightly scrunch in curl cream or a lightweight wax with your fingertips, and you’re done!

The volume at the back came through beautifully, and the overall hairline looked so neat—I’m totally satisfied. As a men’s-hair specialist, the designer seemed to catch exactly the subtle edges and details men want.
