It's honestly hard to find good pizza around Gwangalli... BUT I had a satisfying meal at Extra Mile, a relaxed space with plenty of LA vibes~!

## Where is Extra Mile in Gwangalli, and where do you park?

Extra Mile is a pizza spot on the 1st floor at 11 Suyeong-ro 554beon-gagil, Suyeong-gu, Busan, tucked in an alley not far from Gwangalli Beach. Open daily 11:00–21:00, last order 20:00, closed every Friday.

The name means 'willingly going one step further,' with the hope that guests get more than just a meal — a good experience. There's no dedicated parking lot, so you'll need a nearby private lot. Boseong Private Parking Lot is said to be closest to the restaurant. Or you can find street parking in the nearby alleys if you're lucky~

Extra Mile has a relaxed American-style interior — exactly the healing-brunch feel you'd want from a Western restaurant. Besides pizza, you can also casually enjoy pasta and salad here.

I especially liked the window seat where leaves are softly visible outside. It gives you a green, almost photosynthesizing-plant kind of feeling haha. Overall it has that warm Sunday afternoon mood, so it's on the cozy side.

There are only 4 pizzas, but Extra Mile reinterprets even ordinary ingredients into something with a distinctive flavor and look. Order as a combo set and each item gets a discount compared to ordering à la carte — more reasonable! 👍 The pasta lineup also really brings out the character of its ingredients, and it's not a list you see often, which makes this genuinely worth visiting as a Western-food spot in Gwangalli. Definitely recommend the clean salad to whet your appetite too! Pair it with a draft Budweiser and you might get confused whether you're drinking wine or beer haha.

Hot Honey Pepperoni pizza + Potato pizza. I ordered it half-and-half so I could pick both. It comes in a medium size cut into 6 slices, so you get generous bites. And the pizza is sliced cleanly, so no dragging cheese pulling all the toppings off — nice and tidy!

I figured the Potato Pizza would just be the usual look with wedge potatoes on top, but it was a total plot twist. Thinly sliced potatoes topped with fried julienned potato, a savory potato cream sauce, and shredded potato tucked under the cheese for extra crunch — seriously good...🤤

It's polished enough to rank in my top 3 potato pizzas ever — tasted almost like a proper dish. Especially fun because the potato is cooked in so many different forms, which made the care put into it come through in the flavor haha.

Hot Honey Pepperoni pizza combines 'hot' and 'honey' with pepperoni. Pickled chili on top of the pepperoni adds heat, and the sweet-spicy hot honey sauce is drizzled all over — a spicy-sweet spicy-sweet flavor!

On top of that, mascarpone and ricotta cheese keep the spice from going overboard. The flavor balance was great, and I really enjoyed it.

Bisque Cream Pasta uses bisque — a sauce made from shrimp heads and shells — as its base. Just from the name you can tell it'll have that distinct shellfish flavor. And with gamtae (dried laver) mixed in, you really get the taste of the sea.

Loved that the cream sauce wasn't too thick or heavy. No greasiness, just a strong shellfish-shell flavor that comes through — kind of like ganjang gejang (soy-marinated crab), but a more refined version of that flavor.

Recommend adding the gamtae bit by bit since it clumps if you mix it all in at once! It adds a light sea aroma that really brings out the seafood's true character.

The plump, hefty spot prawn also went down in one bite 😋 Surprisingly moist and tender texture. It was good enough that I would've ordered extra shrimp if that were an option ㅠ
